    “Had high hopes but were disappointed.”

    Service was marginal at best. Food was not appetizing. Dining room was sweltering even though advertised as air conditioned. We didn’t feel like welcomed guests. Not the level of service or friendliness that you would hope for or expect at a resort.

    “One of the best places in the world.”

    Excelent option for travel with family, friends or couples. Amazing beach with very good beach service. Great service, price, location, bars and the best scuba diving pro dive Cozumel. Definitely a place to return more than once.

    “I would not recommended the hotel”

    The hotel had lines for everything from check in, breakfast, lunch, dinner and bars. I would not recommend the hotel because I could not sleep. You could hear everything the neighbors said or did - talking, television, children crying, people talking and arguing etc. I also thought that the hotel is for families with children and that should be made clear.

    “WARNING”

    The service when you first get there draws you in but then it goes down hill from there. Many people in our group had got locked out of their rooms for hours at a time because the key cards keep deactivating.the housekeeping ignore the do not disturb signs, they take it off of the door and lay it on your bed after they go in your room, move and even possibly decide to

    “20 Year Tradition No More”

    My wife and I took our first vacation together and stayed here 20 years ago. We have come back every 3-4 years since then to what we believed to be a relaxing getaway and paradise. The resort has undergone a lot of ownership changes over the years, but maintained its appeal to us. I am sad to say that this last trip over the 4th of July holiday was likely the last time we will go back. In years past we were always amazed at the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. They were always eager to take your drink order and attend to your every need, whether dining or trying to enjoy any of the properties amenities. Although the hotel has undergone renovation, which was badly needed and exciting for this older property, mgmt clearly no longer places a focus on the guests. In the past, staff consistently walked around and brought you drinks or food whether lounging by the beach or in the pool. This is no longer the case. The swim up bar was actually fun in the past, and the bartenders were attentive and fast with your every request, often talking and joking around with guests. Now, the bartender (one) is there for one or two drink orders max, and actually leaves for 10 or more minutes at a time, leaving patrons waiting to order...or to get out of the pool and visit one of the 10+ people deep lines at other bars away from the pool. This tactic turns the pool bar into a frustrated waiting area for guests, and not the fun and relaxing area it used to be. There was, in the past, also attention placed on directing kids to the kid pools. My wife and I are parents, and actually had our teenage kids with us, but there is a time as an adult when you just want to relax at a pool bar like an adult. That is not possible under current Mgmt. The once fun bar with swings is gone, now a beach towel pickup spot. I have fond memories of sitting on a swing with my wife while having a drink and staring out at the ocean. So there is literally nowhere outside to sit at a bar (that is actually attended by a bartender full time). The restaurants are only booked to 50% or less of capacity, and then you are told that they are full for the evening. The shows are lackluster and nothing like they were in the past. Our friends room flooded during a rainstorm at 1am, and the manager told them they would have to wait until morning to move rooms. The once fun evening bar is now a disco every night. I could go on and on. There is simply no comparison to the attention to service this resort used to have, and we are sad to end two decades of visiting here. FYI - If you are a diver, it is still an amazing place, mainly because you are gone all day everyday, and return to a private bar and snack area. But for those seeking relaxation and being waited on for your every (or most) needs, this is not that place anymore.
