    “return to paradise.”

    we stayed 10 nights mid sept. room 2307, lovely room ,great views over lagoon and beach, very enjoyable to sit with feet up and enjoy your last drink of the night whatever your drink be it soft or strong ,and the time it is. our bedding was changed every 3 days and each time was beautifully presented. once after a change, later in the day we accidentally spilt a can of juice on small area, reported it to reception and apologised , 2 hours later ,completely replaced and still got a smile and good morning from our lovely maid the next morning. must highlight all the improvements in the restaurant, easy to use digital coffee machines,incl. pods give all variations. at breakfast you can ask any of the lovely waitng staff and they will bring stainless steel pots of coffee and hot milk to your table to pour to your own requirements. 4 new platehheaters are situated in the hotfood areas and the plates are as warm as health and safety would allow. you still get people lifting coolplates as they pass through the salad areas and using them for hotfoods, the food is presented and displayed at the proper temperature it cools due to the actions of guests, they load hot maincourses then wander about the huge selection of addons then arrive at table and announce its cold. policy in the show food area slightly tweaked more emphasis on food direct from hotplate to guests plate as their was a lot of waste with guests waiting for what was on the hotplate , rather than what was ready, this can also extend the waiting time. as a last resort microwaves are available. restaurant staff work very very hard under a lot of pressure, and are a credit to the hotel, as are all their workmates in all other areas. some people think staff should be a slave to their every whim, treat them as you would like to be treated. new cashless policy works well at bars , means they do not have to touch dirty currency then your drinks. good to have A.T.M. installed in reception, very convenient. big thanks to all hardworking staff and management on our 17 visit in 6 years. already looking forward number to number 18. and NEW YEARS EVE GALA DINNER,bow tie is ready ,

    “Muy Bien!”

    Two week stay late August early September. Four of us in standard room - myself, Mrs Biggun and two kids (10+8). Comfortable, spacious, clean. For a large hotel, it was surprisingly quiet at night and we slept with ease. 15 minute transfer time from the airport. There's not a lot to Costa Caleta itself - and the restaurants we looked into visiting did not make us feel we were missing anything spectacular - so All Inclusive is probably a necessity. The Saturday Market kept the wife and kids happy. UK's Trading Standards would have a field day. The hotel itself was blessed with friendly, helpful staff. Maxi Club was a Godsend thanks in no small part to the excellent Jon and Rafa who my kids adored. Food was very good and offered just enough variety for two weeks. Pleasing mix of nationalities around the pool. Entertainment was considerably more professional than on our previous visit - my more cynical side missed "the rougher edges" of previous years' shows. The Lion King was especially good. I miss "those" songs.

    “Not 4+ star hotel”

    Stayed here for two weeks with friends at the beginning of September. Positives : The hotel is in a good location, on the beach and shops, bars and restaurants on your doorstep. The hotel is extremely clean and the cleaning staff work very hard to keep it this way. Reception staff are excellent and very efficient. Rooms are of a high quality. Negatives: The biggest negative has to be the food. Choice was very limited and repetitive. Food was luke warm this included the soups. Restaurant staff looked like they wanted to be anywhere else but here. They didn't smile and hardly ever spoke. There were two waiters that were extremely rude and surly. You don't expect a waiter to click his fingers at you and signal to you to pass him your plate!! The only exception to the staff was Stella. She was the only person who interacted with us and was friendly. A lovely lady. The hotel has tea/coffee making facilities and gives you a welcome pack on arrival. Once you have used these they are not replenished for the remainder of your stay. This is not acceptable for a two week stay. This hotel is very large so lacks those personal touches. If you are a couple who wants a quiet, relaxing holiday do not stay here. This hotel is suited to families and anyone who likes a lot of noise. Would we stay here again - NO.

    “Lovely hotel but check your bill”

    Just finished a week all inclusive holiday at this lovely hotel. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, the staff were warm and friendly. The food and drink was great with loads of choice . One minor niggle is that I would have liked there to have been more shade by the pool. There were some fixed umbrellas but these beds tended to be reserved with towels first thing in the morning, despite the hotel's stance being that this wasn't allowed. Our main bit of advice is to check your bill carefully when checking out. When we were checking in a family were challenging drinks charged to their room and we thought "Oh yeah right" but then when we came to check out there was a 69€ massage charged to our room! Then when we were waiting for our pick-up someone else queried wrong charges on their bill so it's obviously quite common. You're meant to show the card with your room number and signature when charging anything but obviously not all staff follow this, so be careful not to get stung.

    “Lovely hotel”

    Stayed for 11 nights with two children (9&6). Hotel was clean and well maintained. We had a superior sea view room. Is wasn’t huge, but was big enough. Note that you have to pay a deposit plus €3 a day if you want to use the room safe, which we thought was a bit pricey. The Animation team were excellent and my children loved the mini and maxi club, especially John and Rafa. The evening shows were great and we were very impressed with the Animation team’s performances... their take on the Lion King is well worth seeing and the circus acts were also entertaining. The mini golf is not an included activity as part of the all inclusive and is accessed from outside the hotel gates. The food was good quality and had enough variation for dinner. The snack bar had pretty much the same food every day, but had all the usual items people want...salads, chips, sausages/burgers, paella, fruit etc. The restaurant staff were lovely as well...with a special mention to Peblo Pablo del Rio who was a really great waiter and made our dining experience very pleasant. We don’t usually like returning to the same place but I would return here. It was a very pleasant and relaxing stay.
