    “Amazing Hotel - location and service”

    This hotel was a find- the grounds are wonderful, food and service were fantastic. Make sure you book a premium room to get the best bang from your bucks. The pool and bar are pricey as well as the dinner buffet, but the cleanliness and location can’t be beat!

    “Pleased with Barcelo San Juan”

    We were very pleased with the hotel. If you stay there, spend a little more and upgrade your room to give you access to the top floor and the snacks. The snacks on the top floor were excellent as was the view.

    “Poor reception attention at a nice hotel”

    Despite being a loyal member, I was mistreated at the reception two different days. The shuttle service to the airport works very well. The pool is big, but the water is cold. The breakfast buffet is huge but theRe is not much variety.

    “Scenic”

    This is a beautiful hotel. The grounds are like a miniature rain forest. The rooms are huge. We had a suite with 2 bathrooms. Cheaper than hotel connected with our tour. Breakfast was amazing. Service top notch. Wanted to stay here instead of going on our tour and swing on the hammocks next to the pool.

    “Overcharged at the bar, ignored by the front desk”

    My brother and I were on a caravan tour and were charged twice at the pool bar. When we realized later, after seeing the price for the same drink at the lobby bar, we brought it to the attention of the desk staff who told us that since the bar was closed(it was 6:30 pm) there was no way to resolve the issue. In general, we found this hotel to me mediocre and with poor service and i wouldn’t recommend staying here or going on a tour that does.
