    “Food was very good!”

    5* Because of food. Food was very good every single day, good variety and you could also get alcohol beverage during the breakfast! Not every all inclusive hotels do that. The only bad thing that I requested balcony room with the view and we got the worst view plus disabled room with disabled shower and no room service during the night so if you need some water who have to think in advance. I didn't complained it was group holiday and we had great time! but reception should follow up with guests requests before the arrival. Reception and Food and Beverage staff were lovely too! Will come back!

    “Average”

    Where to start. Hotel was clean and tidy. Some staff members were helpful, some not so much (not even a smile from day one) food was average, got worse throughout the stay and most of the drinks pumps were off by the end of the week. One person on the bar serving only 2 drinks at a time pp which is a pain when one of you is keeping your table and queues min 20mins each time. I dread to think what it would be like in peak season. Struggled to get a sunbed everyday considering the hotel dont allow reserving sunbeds get there early to get a spot! Because of this we reserved one of the Balinese beds, the cheapest price is €28 including a bottle of bubbly, but dont be fooled it's not manned in any way, anyone and everyone was using them, but silly me paid for the privilege. Didnt notice until a couple of days after we got there, but where the hairdryer was fixed into the wall there was no cover on all the electrical wires luckily nothing came of it as I hardly used it. I didnt say anythin so un aware of any response I would get as looking back through reviews I dont think they would take too kindly and I certainly didnt want any blame. So the last day came. 12pm check out, kick out. Yes they held our luggage until 6pm. But the whole hotel went into lockdown. They provided water, nothing else. Shutting it down covering all windows with brown paper, it was dark cold and miserable. They wouldn't do a thing, there were older couples, young girls and boys, disabled who all were in the same boat who had no clue what to do and were very anxious with the situation. Had we known this was the case I wouldn't have booked this hotel as our flight wasnt til early hours the next morn. It was located in a nice place little walk down the road beautiful beach and bar.. carry on walking in towards the town more shops more bars/restaurants, but would I return to this hotel?? Absolutely not. Really disappointing. But also was a cheap getaway, so lesson learnt maybe?

    “Nice chilled break”

    Our trip was a relaxing one, we were fortunate to have good weather even though it was mid October. Hotel is good, we got to occidental Ibiza early and our rooms weren’t ready until 3pm but were given access to all hotel amenities as well as somewhere we could store luggage and to shower which was well needed after early morning flight. Food was good, it was themed so every night it varied, plenty fresh fish on offer which was nice! Drinks were good and ample choices however the bar situation wasn’t ideal queuing for 20 mins or so and a couple of members of staff unfriendly and impolite which was unfortunate. Rooms were modern with a quirky set out toilet and shower, good to have mini fridge, safe and air conditioning. Always cleaned daily and towels replaced. Overall would return, for us the out season relaxing break was what we wanted and what we received.

    All the good-location just near the beach. Restaurants staff lovely and receptionist Food really nice breakfast is the best, always choices The rooms are modern and always clean Nice pool area Taxi only €13 to san Antonio bay. Water taxi from the beach at the end of the road to 3 different places We did enjoy our holiday here and we hate to complain so please dont be put off go and make your own decisions. Bad- que every single night for a drink 20-30 minutes Drinks ran out alot in pumps No tea or coffee from matchines only in pool bar during the day and morning you have to que for 30 mintues at night. Bar staff really rude and unprofessional Only one staff on the bar at night some times Not enough sun beds and space round the pool

    “Would never go back”

    Awful experience at the Occidental. Photos online are very misleading! To start, our air conditioning didn’t work - the room was boiling! I told reception and they said they would get someone to come fix it, they arrived the next day! We came back to the room one night to find hundreds of ants crawling under our bed!! When we were there we had a few bad rain storms... the room started leaking! To say it was a new refurbished hotel we didn’t expect this. The food is terrible, if you want cheap, re-heated, fatty food then you will like this place! The queues for the bar would be 20 mins long- and you were only allowed 2 drinks even when you paid for all inclusive! The food was mainly chicken nuggets, chips, plain pasta, fish.. the staff were very moody, never friendly wanting to chat to you. Sun beds were always taken but with no one on them! You had to pay for a pool towel which wasn’t stated on the website. Honestly would never return it was not a good experience. Awful hotel!

Regarding the air-conditioning, we are sorry if there was a problem with the functioning of the system in your room; we would like to apologize that our maintenance staff did not go to your room immediately to repair it as they normally do. Due to the heavy rains, there was a small leak in your room. We did offer you a room change. Sorry for the inconvenience. Our hotel is situated in the country area, sometimes ants may appear, especially if you leave food around. As soon as we knew we send our cleaning service to sanitize the room. Our buffets are not recycled and are always fresh since the very last day. They consist of 12 types of crudités salads and 6 types of compound salads that change in each lunch and dinner service daily. We also have 5 types of hot with meats, fish and vegetables in addition we always offer a grilled fish and meat that naturally also change in each service and daily. Following the guidelines of a balanced Mediterranean diet our fried are focused on offering one per service and always being a hydrate (potatoes). The themed dinners: American, German, Asian, Balearic..., to give you some examples enjoy an excellent reception among our customers, and we strive to improve them every season. I regret that within this extensive gastronomic range they have not found the variety and taste that we strive to offer. At Barceló we lay high value on our personnel being guest oriented and welcoming at all times, being fully aware that their interactions with our guests have an enormous impact on the overall holiday experience in our hotels, therefore we are sincerely sorry to read your comments on the service your received and commit to adjust any situation that leads us away from our goal being to make sure our guests feel welcome and attended to at all times. We have taken good note of your remark on the queues at times in our bar and regret reading your dissatisfaction, our barmen shifts are studied to ensure an impeccable service throughout the day and are reinforced during peak hours, nevertheless we commit to improve on this aspect of our services so as to avoid receiving this kind of feedback in the future. We are an Eco Friendly Company. Only the exchange of the pool towels have a 1€ surcharge per change so they are not unnecessary washed. According to the hotel policy reserving sunbeds is not allowed.
