    “Hotel not responding to Expedia refund request”

    Unfortunately i had to end my trip 3 days earlier, but prior to doing to i confirmed with 3 different people from the front desk that if i did so that they would refund the remaining 3 nights, i was assured by all 3 workers it is not an issue and they will approve the refund. I spoke with Expedia as they have to initiate the refund process as i booked it with them and they have sent an email to the hotel days ago and the hotel still hasnt responded and approved the refund. I hope its just a misunderstanding and they respond to Expedia immediately and initiate the refund right away and i will resubmit another positive review. I'm scheduled to return to this hotel in mid january with a party of 10 people. But if they dont refund my money we will be staying at a different hotel and it will be there bushiness loss.

    “Watch out of this Hotel”

    This was a whole week vacation for me and my family and started as a nightmare! Although we had reserved Arenas Blancas (which we prefer over Solymar) remember is Cuba.... when arriving to the Hotel we found out that the Hotel had being closed for 10 days for electricity issue!!!! So imagine the surprise....we were redirected to Solymar that is allegedly 5 star resort. Over there started the bad treatment. Once they detect you are Cuban (Although we live in Canada since several years ago) they just don't care about you. We were travelling with a pregnant woman and a 7 month old baby... they just don't care. We were assigned a room without AC. After 3 trips to reception and almost fighting the lady by explaining that this was a full paid trip and no one had gave us a present and that we demanded attention and issue resolution they agreed to change us to another room..... but now the punishment for demanding what we have paid for was that the family was going to be apart by 3 floors and hundreds of meters (although cleaning ladies explained that empty rooms were available near by) The rooms were not in 5 star condition, 3 at the most being super nice evaluating. We made sure all the time to leave tips every where. Even so the attention was not number 1. If you planning to go there be aware. Bring everything and beyond as the rooms have issues. I didn't take photos because it was depressing. Never will go there again!

    “Unsanitary, unsafe, unreliable”

    I could not change my beach towel for 10 days. I complained to front desk, Guest services Gabriele. They say: no towels in the hotel. Period. Bath towels are funny size, more of a kitchen towel size. You have to crawl in complete darkness to a la carte restaurant, resort is poor lit. One day you wake up and can't brush teeth or shower - no electricity. Next day there is no bottled water. The day after the only elevator is broken in our half building, and guests have to march all the way to the other end of building. Some staff is arrogant. Gabriele actually called security on me when I demanded resolve towel issue. Manager Baltasar said that he can't be bothered. Guest service make a mistake booking wrong a la carte but cover it by lying that it was last minute change. Horrible experience! It is useless to talk to employees: if something goes wrong, they all say "I am doing my job". The resort is mismanaged and a shame to Barcello chain.

    Hotel konum olarak cok guzel calisanlar yardim sever ve ilgililer hotelin twk kusuru koridorlarin biraz bakmsiz olmasi odalar gayet genis ve ferah yenilenmis guzel yataklar fena sayilmaz yemekler ortanin biraz ustu ama dha guzel olabilir..

    “Çok güzel bir plaj...”

    2 gece konakladığımız beyaz kumları ve plajından çok mutlu kaldığımız bir otel oldu. Restoranları geniş seçeneğe sahip ve yemekler lezzetli. Odalar da çok konforlu değil fakat rahat ve temiz. Barlarında sunulan çeşitler pek fazla değil.
