    “Lobby Bar ”

    At the El Embajador Hotel in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic once again. Sitting at the lobby bar, listening to live jazz with singer, piano and bass included. And being pampered by Maria de los Santos and the rest of the fantastic staff! Can't get much better than this on a business trip after a hard day on the road. Thank you all.

    “An Excellent Hotel”

    I am from the New York area, and accustomed to high-end hotels. For my first trip to the Dominican Republic this was the recommended hotel, and it delivered a top-level experience comparable to any world capital high-end hotel. The grounds were safe, the room was clean, large and comfortable, the staff was friendly and bilingual, and the cost was 20% what I would spend for the same experience in New York. If I go back to Santo Domingo, I would stay here again quite happily.

    “Great stay!”

    Loved staying here. The atmosphere was great, the food was good, and the rooms were espectacular! Given that the city has so much going on at all times of the day it was nice coming back to my room / hotel and have a place that was relaxing!

    “Great room, messy check-in and could be better”

    I really thought the price for this hotel compared to the US was great. The check-in process took way too long!!!!! I was in the Ambassador floor which is the 5th and upon booking my room, was not told that I had a separate check-in on that floor and all of the details of the hotel. I waited SO long. The ac in the general areas seem off or not strong enough, sooo hot. Once on the 5th, the staff person at the desk was not very friendly, did not tell me about the hotel's amenities and didn't move me along the process well enough, so I just sat there and had to ask how much longer to which she responded you're all set, I was so upset and asked her why she didn't let me know I was all set until I asked, wasted time. The room was fantastic, I paid for an upgrade to be on the ocean side and it was worth it. The room was so clean and really modern, very quiet. I went to the spa got several services they fit me right in and the technicians were great. I ate at the restaurant closest to the pool, it was meh, for the price not worth it. I would recommend the restaurants outside of the hotel walking distance, Muelle 47 was so amazing, best seafood ever, great service worth the price. The laundry service ruined my clothes it was all worn out arghh. Overall very safe place, fantastic room, ok service, loved the lounge on the 5th. May be back.

    “An Excellent Hotel”


    I am from the New York area, and accustomed to high-end hotels.
