    “OK stay but lacking in service in some areas”

    Rooms OK, some maintenance required. Buffet food OK, typically mushy steamed plates. Seafood was tasty. Service for drinks limited with lines and servers not always interested in serving you. There were long lines for the buffet so you had to time your meal to avoid waiting in long queues to eat. There wasn't any place open between meal times for a snack. Someone left some plates and glasses on the steps to our unit (with many staff passing by) and it sat there for almost two days to give a sense of the indifference of some of the staff.

    “Excellent Vacation with Friends”

    The reviews we read prior to our trip were very contradictory, so we didn't know what to expect. We are First Club members, but traveled with friends who stayed in regular hotel rooms. The grounds are very well kept. The rooms were adequate, though not luxurious like you would have in Aruba. The regular rooms were small, but you had what you needed. You have to remind yourself that you're in a hut and embrace the experience. Overall, the food was good...always something. The drinks were excellent...alcohol was light. We stayed four nights, which was perfect. We got more than I anticipated based on the low all-inclusive price. We had a super trip, would return, and certainly recommend it to others.

    “You get what you pay for AND MUCH MORE”

    Just got back from a last minute wonderful stay at the Allegro Cozumel. It was our second stay for this year. As First Club members we have a separate check in. It went smooth and fast. The staff in the Club are warm and welcoming. Karina runs the First Club perfectly and has a great staff. They took good care of us and greeted us daily as we got our morning breakfast, drinks, snacks or appetizers in the evening. They were quick to help if we needed anything. The bartenders are great. They seem to remember everyone's preferred drink. I love that the First Club gives individual attention to everyone. I feel pampered when there. We always enjoy sitting down with Madeleine and Daniel to learn about the new happenings in the Club. They are truly caring and honest to the members. The resort is clean and well kept. The beach is stunning. They do have someone come out and get drink orders. Always a chair to be found. Pools are not our thing but we saw them being cleaned daily. It's tough to keep up with the uncaring guests who don't wash off their feet as they go in from the beach. I feel sorry for the pool staff. Our room was in perfect order and always kept immaculate. The AC worked perfectly on the hot summer days. We would keep our drapes closed to keep out the sun during the day. Our mini fridge was kept supplied with water and soda. We don't drink beer. Yes, there are not that many English speaking stations on the TV but you are in Mexico not the US. We were in Europe recently (seven different countries) and we found the same situation at the hotels there. You can't expect English or any other language when in a foreign country. The same as you can't expect everyone to speak perfect English at the resort. We are visiting their country not the other way around. We love the hammock on the porch for every room. We find ourselves relaxing there every evening after dinner. Breakfast was our favorite meal. The fresh omelet station, fresh fruit and chillaquiles satisfy me. Every meal has a wide variety to choose from. Lunch time I enjoyed the fresh salad bar. At dinner I loved the fresh fish. The restaurant manager challenged me to try something different that I may not try at home. What great advice. Sometimes I thought it didn't look all that appetizing or sound good but I mainly found it outstanding. The Oriental restaurant is our favorite specialty restaurant followed closely by the Italian. The staff in all restaurants are hard working and eager to please. We never waited for a drink. Our empty plates were quickly removed from the table. You treat them with respect and they do the same for you. Monica in the lobby is always willing to go the extra mile to make your stay perfect. Once again, I can't address the entertainment because we love to decompress at night on the porch. I did hear good things, however. There is something for everyone at this resort. Cooking lessons, tennis, volleyball, massage, pool games, huge chess game, soccer in the open area, child care, kids pool, paint your own pottery. We never seem to get bored. The days fly by unfortunately. I highly recommend this resort. I feel it is great for families and just couples, too. My honest opinion is that you get what you pay for AND MUCH MORE. Good bang for the buck. Looking forward to our next 3 week stay January 2018.

    “not for needy people”

    The place is clean but lacks on customer service at the bars and reception. Almost felt like they didn't care for there customer satisfaction. Food is good but don't expect the tipycal Mexican/American type dish (and no mariachi stereotype) Beautiful beach, great for scuba fans. And no coffee bars for the evenings.

    “Great stay!!”

    The staff was extremely friendly. We discussed making a reservation at the Asian restaurant to the manager on duty (Arturo) during lunch. He said it would be difficult for our party of 10 but said he could seat us in the regular dinner (buffet) area and serve us the Asian restaurant menu. We thoroughly enjoyed both the food and personal service! The beach is the best of any resort we've stayed on the island. Plenty of entertainment and stuff for kids to do.
