    “Great hotel BUT......”

    We are currently staying at Barcelo Hamilton and we are having a great time, but there are few very easily solvable issues that spoil this hotel. As previous comments, I have never been to a hotel of this standard where you have to pay for the safe and towels, why? One of the most annoying things is that although we paid to be all inclusive, this does not include drinks at the roof bar. This mean you have to order your drinks at the ground floor/pool bar, then get in a lift to the fifth floor carrying your drinks, why? The staff are very polite and helpful but there are not enough of them, particularly in the restaurants, this leads to very long delays in being served! When the staff do serve you they start with the line "sorry for the wait"! Management, take note, you need more staff! Also we paid for a superior sea view room but were very disappointed, our predominant view was that of the side of the building! I'm not one to complain but the above are valid points that have meant my rating is 4*, instead of 5*. Would we return...yes beacuse the setting and resort is beautiful.

    “Get a grip guys”

    We visited some friends in Menorca last week and stayed at the Barcelo Hamilton which is a beautiful hotel in a great location with terrific breakfasts and rooms so why only 4 stars? Well silly things really that would take just a minute to fix but still seem to be a problem for the hotel. 1. Firstly after settling into the room we tried to use the safe but couldn't. After enquiring at reception we were told it was 5 euros a day with a 30 euro deposit! Really.....I've stayed in hotels all over the world and never paid to use the room safe! 2. Towels are available for the pool .....at a cost of 4 Euro per towel per day.....! 3. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room ...great...but only enough for one day...if you want more tea,coffee,milk it costs 4 euro a day! Bit much for a sachet of coffee and a tub of milk I think. Why don't they get replenished everyday like any other decent hotel? 4. Lastly , it was hot in the rooms at night,25 degrees and difficult to sleep so I asked at reception if the a/c was broken in my room as I couldn't get it to work! I was told on two occasions that it only came on once the temperature in the room hit 26 degrees! What?? Evidently correct! So if you can put up with these niggles as we did fine but hey Barcelo, get into the real world and if necessary add more to the room rate...at least we'd be happy that everything was included, then I'd be happy to give you 5 stars. I'll be going back by the way as we had a great holiday and after the initial annoyances enjoyed the hotel.

    “A Menorcan Gem”

    We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Hamilton. This is a true 4* hotel, in my opinion should be 5*. The location is stunning, the hotel offers every modern convenience, the food is fresh, varied and inviting. The staff are friendly and always helpful. Entertainment every evening, even the weather was very kind, what more could you ask!!!

    “Highly recommended!”

    Lovely hotel in a beautiful setting. Good food and restaurant service. Good quality drinks on the all inclusive. Very clean and well looked after. Entertainment every night although this was hit and miss, and lacking in variety. Only significant criticism was the bed was too hard and uncomfortable, resulting in poor sleep quality.

    “Lovely hotel”

    Just got home from a week stay at Barcelo Hamilton...well where shall I start hotel amazing rooms really modern very clean can't fault the food choice plenty to pick from amazing views from our room we had a sea view room not pool view staff very polite & always happy to help we will be returning next year thanks you all for a amazing holiday.
