    “Our first time to Dominican Republic”

    we have had a lovely week here in Punta Cana, the weather has been exceptional, the beach is just paradise, the service on the other hand has not been quite so.. advice is to book all your meals at the restaurants as soon as you arrive to save disappointment, and don’t waste your time with the steak house it’s terrible, the sea food one was so good we changed our last nights reservation to eat there as the food and the service is second to none! There is quite a bit of a language barrier here, A lot of people have excused the service because of this while we have been here, I disagree, while waiting to attend the buffet they have a handful of staff members chanting and clapping at you, fortunately we understand a fair bit of Spanish so new they were telling us what the entertainment was for the evening, also chanting something along the line of “we can say what we like as none of you understand what we are saying!” Found that rather rude if I’m honest and they should probably be a little more careful in future. Also have heard some staff being rather rude about customers when they think they can’t speak Spanish, it’s actually a fun game to learn it and not speak it so you can hear what they really think! The pool bar was a little disappointing, asked for a drink twice, had a nod and then completely ignored, even asked in Spanish too, gave up after he served 2 people that sat next to me 10 mins after I had asked second time. I guess we were very spoilt in Mexico and were treated as family, it’s all down to expectation I guess, I have to say that the omelette guy in the buffet is the happiest guy I have ever met and makes the perfect breakfast, and our favourite person here without a doubt is felix at the seafood restaurant, if occidental can get all staff to be trained by him you would have the perfect resort! Don’t think we will return but that is because there are many Caribbean islands to explore not a bad experience

    “A disappointing stay due to obvious attempts to limit what is generally considered to be "all-inclusive" items.”

    The rooms, buildings, pools and beach were fine and staff were usually polite but not always ex. a request for 4 drinks was met by the barman's response of "I don't have time to get these drinks as I have other customers". This response was given on 2 occasions that I heard. Also liquor was measured at the beach bar. Lobby bar and restaurants routinely ran out of limes, tonic water, fizzy wine etc. and were not replenished The meals were uninspired especially in the specialty restaurants where you were rushed ex. first course was on the table when you returned from the salad bar. The steakhouse was actually terrible. In addition our building was filled with fumigation mist one evening as the fumigation was conducted at 7:00 pm and blew into the buildings like smoke - a complaint on this item was met with the usual sudden inability of the staff to speak English - there must be a word for this condition. Overall our group was disappointed as the offerings were what you might expect in a 3 star property. Last but not least was that we had to call for towels on 12 out of 14 days we stayed at this resort.

    “Vánoční, rodiná dovolená”

    skvělá dovolená. V hotelu bylo hodně lidí, což nebylo moc dobrý. Většina zaměstnancu nosila Santovské čepky, na recepci byl vánoční stromek a 25.12. připlul lodí na pláž Santa Claus. Tvrdili že v hotelu bude wi-fi zdarma, ale nebyla, ale naštestí hned ve vedlejším hotelu zdarma byla, stačilo být jen na jejich pláži a fungovala.

    “Rozpačitě ”

    Hotel skvělý. Už jsme byli 9x. Před změnou majitele lepší služby včetně kuchyně. Po rekonstrukci. Kuchyně tragédie. Kuchař zejména v mexické, nikdy v mexiku nebyl a možná viděl v tv krátký spot. Neočekává zázrak v jídle. Splní základ. Ale kuchari v tom plavou :( Ostatní služby naprosto excelentní. Rozhodně stojí za to se zde zastavit. !!nekupovat doutníky v hotelovém obchodě!! Vyplatí je koupit například u VIVALDI CIGARS 5 min od hotelu. Ať vám nezkazí dovolenou jako ,,kuchari ,,

    “Skvěle”

    Hotel čistý, personal ochotný a usměvavý, jidlo skvěle jen v moři bylo plno ras ale za to nikdo nemuze to je příroda, každé rano je odklizeji takže na plazi jich je malo. Byla to moje první dovolená u moře takže já jsem na rámec spokojena!!!!!
