Tenerife still has a hidden treasure, a spot on the island where you can contemplate all its history; from the first volcanic eruptions to the present day. The San Blas Environmental Reserve is a natural and culture treasure in the Canary Islands. More than 500,000 square metres of protected space where you can see the traces of the island's volcanic past, the endemic flora and fauna that settled in this area thousands of years ago and the remnants that humans have left in the territory: from the Guanches to the present day.

Being almost untouched, its actual state is believed to be very similar to that of hundreds of thousands of years ago, which has contributed to the survival of many endemic ecosystems, preserving its enormous archaeological, biological, geological and historical importance.There are endemic species that have been preserved to this day, numerous archaeological sites and caves from the Guanche era and remnants of a more recent past that help us understand how people lived here before our time. Among the most important findings there is a Guanche vessel recovered in one of the caves of the reserve and which is exhibited in the museum.

The San Blas Environmental Reserve can be visited through guided tours of approximately two hours. The tour includes a visit to the Museum, which covers the history of the San Blas Environmental Reserve and where you will discover the uniqueness of its rich natural and cultural heritage; and the interactive Historical Experience Tunnel, where guests will learn how Canary Islands were formed, as well as the evolution of the territory over time, the colonization of Tenerife and even the ship where emigration to the Americas is shown.
