This spectacular golf course has been redesigned and remodelled by renowned architect P.B. Dye. Since its inauguration, this course has been a must-visit for guests at both resorts and non-resorts. Nestled in a lush mangrove forest, the course features 25 beautiful lakes and 122 strategically placed sand traps. Taking advantage of the Bavaro area's natural beauty, the design incorporates native plants around the greens. In addition, it offers a wide range of services, including transportation, safeguarding and cleaning of equipment, locker rentals, and high-quality golf equipment rentals, among others.

The golf course was designed by renowned architect P.B. Dye, who personally supervised and oversaw the entire process. The golf course was reopened to both resort guests and the general public in December 2010.
The golf course runs through a lush mangrove forest, with 25 lakes inland and 122 strategically placed sand traps. The design takes advantage of the Bavaro area's natural beauty and, around the green areas, incorporates native plant species.

All customers receive a free Green fee; use of a golf basket on the course is mandatory and incurs an additional cost.
One (1) Free Green Fee per player per night's stay, subject to availability. The free Green Fee does not include the cost of the golf cart (mandatory).
10% discount on basket, club rental and golf lessons (only for customers who book in the Premium Level category).

If you prepay a 4-round package, you get a 20% discount, not cumulative with the 10% Premium Level discount.
All fees are per player, guest and round; the use of a golf cart is mandatory, walking the course is not permitted.
The round of golf includes 18 holes, drinks, a bucket of practice balls, free equipment storage, transfer to the golf course from your room, locker, sprinklers and local taxes.

Payment must be made at the golf shop; only credit cards are accepted or payment can be charged to your room; cash is not accepted.
Cancellations must be made 24 hours prior to arrival to avoid being charged. No shows or cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance will be charged the full rate.
Without exception, there are no refunds. As a courtesy, the club may provide certificates that can be used for rounds on future dates.

Charge per accompanying guest is the same as the players' rate. Subject to availability.

The Lakes: where golf and nature meet
The Lakes is not just any golf course. Designed by the renowned P.B. Dye, it combines a challenging course of elevated greens, 75 bunkers and multiple lakes, with gorgeous nature and wildlife surrounding you. While playing golf at The Lakes, you may encounter herons, flamingos and peacocks, a unique experience which completes a fantastic golf day. It is an open field, with no houses around, where numerous tournaments are held. Barceló Films immerses us in this field, which is, on its own merits, one of the most visited in the Dominican Republic.
