    “first time out of the US was great!”

    was my first time out of the U.S and had a great time employees are very nice and helpful. resort was full but you couldn't tell, it was very peaceful. rooms were clean and the food was great. never have i ate so much in my life.

    “Awesome trip.”

    Had an awesome trip. There was a wide variety of delicious food even for us who are a little picky. The rooms were very clean and high end. The staff attended to all our needs and they had lots to do for each and every age group. I loved the water aquafit and especially the instructors Rulo Lopez. He was fun, kept us on track and lots of laughs. Rulo Lopez was a highlight of our trip and with employees like that it encourages people to return to your hotel.

    “Only ok”

    We stayed at this resort from Feb 6th-12th 2017. Good points: The resort is kept very clean and is not a big resort so if you want peace and quiet, this is a plus. Since it is located on a preserve, there is an abundance of wildlife. You cannot go for a walk without spotting and iguana. They have no fear of humans so you can go right up to them for photos. Rooms are kept very clean and never had an issue. Bad points: Although there is no extremely bad points, there are enough small things wrong at this resort that will not have me returning. First and formost, the resort is understaffed. Not greatly understaffed but enough that you have to look for staff at times. More lounge chairs are needed around both the activity pool and the adult only pool. There is plenty of room for more lounges, they just need to be provided. As it stands now, if you want a lounge around the adult pool, be prepared to wake up and go put a towel on them between 5:30 and 6:00 am. Although it is written that this is not allowed, it is not enforced. Get up early if you want a spot. Some of the bars did not have blenders so the staff had to run to other bars to mix some drinks. They worked hard to get what you wanted but because of staffing level this often meant that some bars temporarily had no staff at them. There are no swim up bars at any of the pools and because of the staffing level, you are relegated standing in lines at the one bar at each of the pools. There is not enough staff for pool side drink service. It is unbelievable that in this day and age there is not free wifi available throughout the resort. We could buy a package but it is way over priced and you had to sit in the lobby to use it. To be fair, they were working on the internet as we were there but remember, this should be included, not an extra cost. There was a lot of complaints about the lack of internet service and/or pricing. The food is so so at best. The food quality is the main reason I only give this resort a 3 star rating. Dinner reservations have to be made in the lobby each day and if you are not there between 8:30 and 9:00 am, you likelihood of getting a sitting is extremely low. Buffet food is the worst I have had at any resort I have been to. You have to ask for bacon as it is kept at the back for some reason. Another annoyance is the time share people. Just say no thank you and keep walking.

We regret reading that apparently we failed to ensure that our hotel policy, forbidding the reservation of sun beds, was respected during your visit. Your mentioning of this in your review did not go unnoticed and we are pleased to inform you that with immediate effect we will be enforcing the communication reminding guests that reservation of sunbeds without immediate use is forbidden in our hotel. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the difficulties you had with our Wifi service. We sincerely lament reading that your stay was not as pleasant as it should have been and we would be very pleased to welcome you again in the future ensuring you in advance of our utmost commitment to make your next Occidental Cozumel holiday experience an unforgettable one for all the right reasons.     “Excellent choise!!”

    We have stayed at many of the all inclusive resort in cozumel, but none of them like Occidental cozumel. It is now definitely one of our favorites! The place is beautiful the rooms are so nice, the food and drinks were delicious!!But most important the staff worked SO hard to attend to every little details to make our stay better. They definitely made us feel special! Gabriela were AWESOME trying to help us ALL the time !! The foot rangers good to excellent!! We definitely will choose this hotel for a future stay!!!

    Our Family enjoyed our visit to the resort, the staff are dedicated to meet every every guest needs in order to make their vacation memorable. Hard working staff.. they kept the resort clean, comfortable and safe. For grand level members however it came a little short of expectation but i understand work is on its way to step up and I'm looking forward to experiencing that.
