Las Ventanas, the acclaimed restaurant at Royal Hideaway Playacar, gives you the intimate dining experience you’ve been looking for. The Chef’s Table at Las Ventanas – the only such program on the Yucatan Peninsula – offers a six- or 12-course gourmet tasting menu and wine pairing designed and presented by the hotel’s executive chef. Served in a stylish private dining room, you’ll interact with the chef and his expert kitchen team, as they provide insight into their entire process. You’ll also be able to watch your dishes being prepared, either through the large kitchen window or by means of a television monitors that give you a privileged view of the chef at work.

Las Ventanas prides itself on gathering as much as 95 percent of its ingredients from local sources, whether it’s the freshest catch of the day or locally grown fruits and vegetables. At the Chef’s Table you’ll learn all about where each delicious part of your meal came from, coming away with a greater appreciation for Playa del Carmen’s bountiful harvests. But even though the ingredients are local, the offerings at Las Ventanas are often internationally focused – don’t expect traditional Mexican fare. Good to know: The Chef’s Table experience is not included in Royal Hideaway Playacar’s “All Inclusive” Plan – additional charges apply. Also, there is a dress code at Las Ventanas: men must wear long pants, collar shirt and closed shoes. Women may wear evening dress sandals.
