    “Great Service”

    Daniel Hernandez is an exceptional server at the pools. Very polite and attentive!!!! Beautiful property with lovely rooms. Only regret is that resort was very quiet so restaurants weren’t always open and they limit reservations.

    Great experience every time we visit Barcelo. Our family enjoys spending thanksgiving together at the resort. The hospitality and staff make the experience that much more enjoyable.     “Perfect R&R vacation”

    This was our second trip to Barcelo Karmina in early November and it did not disappoint. The Jr. Suites are comfortably spacious incl. a sunken living room with a second TV and a complimentary, daily stocked bar fridge. We appreciated being situated on a non-smoking floor. The suite's personal deck offers stunning pool and water views and a drying rack for wet towels and bathing suits.There are six pools incl. two oriented to families with children, a large hot pool and several adult only swimming areas. Special mention goes to DANIEL, our pool server with an engaging, mega-watt smile, positive energy and great English fluency. As well, ARATH, the activity coordinator provided a wide range of hourly activities each day that attracted participation from varying age groups. He was enthusiastic, engaging but never pushy. I personally enjoyed aqua aerobics and kayaking sessions but would attempt other activities on future vacations. We particularly enjoyed a live Mariachi band and folklore dancing performance from the evening night entertainment offerings. The expansive buffet dining area with its array of fresh fruit, salad & dessert bars plus a buffet of hot entrees offered something for all palates and dietary needs. The omelet bar was much appreciated as a daily breakfast staple. We found the Japanese restaurant lacked authenticity, but their servers went out of their way to offer menu suggestions making it a pleasant dining experience. Our Capri restaurant Italian meal was enjoyable. Unfortunately, we were disappointed that there were no Vegetarian appetizers or entrees on the Agave, Mexican restaurant menu which eliminated our option of booking a dinner there. Mexican is customarily one of our "go to" dining options so we hope there will be some consideration to adding some Vegetarian options to that menu in the near future. AFRA, the concierge was also extremely helpful in setting up restaurant reservations, answering questions and printing off our boarding passes prior to departure. The friendly, helpful staff at Barcelo Karmina are one of its greatest assets in providing a positive vacation experience. We definitely hope to return!

    “50th Aniversary Event and Hotel stay family experience”

    Nov. 22nd I have a reception event to celebrate my parents' 50th wedding anniversary. I could extend myself in compliments to the people who help me with this event, but I rather to be a little bit more specific. The reason why I mentioned how important is for me that the management team read my statements is because those who really look for them are their employees; the real front line is the waiters... To be honest several people exceed all our expectation in service, kindness, and respect. Two of them in particular… (Waiters Daniel & Sergio). 1) If you are planning to have a celebration or any special event I highly recommend this magnificent place. 2) If you already scheduled your trip to Barceló karmina and you may need anything, please don’t hesitate to ask or request or demand for concierge Afra Figueroa, trust me you will receive a spectacular service; she is the best!. 3) I wish I can find the right words to express our gratitude for all the attention we received from Daniel and Sergio our waiters at the night of our event... These guys are simply the best and exceed any expectations. Afra, Daniel and Sergio are the real face of the Hotel and their business; they are the front line; and I truly wish they get recognized by their superiors for their fantastic work, these guys exceeded any of our expectations... their work tireless to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, they have an amazing cordiality, super proactive, excellent education and great service... even when they had to face some significant adversities with their superiors, they were always focused on providing the highest quality service without compromising the cordiality, the service and always with a big smile... we (Your clients) know that Daniel & Sergio as well as their immediate superiors faced extraordinary challenges during our event, but their professionalism overcome any adversity and always preserve the impeccable image of Barceló Karmina. Thank you for that!. As a business owner myself I know the importance of having a great team, because of that I respectfully urge Barceló to recognize these incredible employees.     “Muitas regras para um all inclusive... ”

    Hotel lindo, estrutura muito boa, vista maravilhosa... já o atendimento deixou à desejar, ainda mais se comparado aos padrões de atendimento dos mexicanos, sempre tão atenciosos e educados. Muitas regras para um all inclusive, para jantar nos restaurantes, precisa reservar com antecedência, e se pode reservar se ficar mais de 2 noites... nós ficamos, mas achei essa regra desnecessária... o buffet é bem comercial, as bebidas são intragáveis... de máquina, sem gosto, sem gás, o melhor para tomar é a água mesmo, e de garrafa... O restaurante mexicano, fica na beira do mar, tem uma vista maravilhosa! Vale a pena reservar, só pela vista! Room service mal treinado, pedimos leite para nosso filho e a primeira frase do atendimento foi: você sabe que é cobrado esse tipo de serviço? Já no kids club, o atendimento foi excepcional! A moça, Carolina, muito atenciosa conosco e com as crianças. Muito atenta e educada! Para os padrões mexicanos, infelizmente deixou a desejar...
