Golf
Marine mammal watching
The southwest coast of Tenerife is a privileged location for observing cetaceans in the wild, as colonies of pilot whales and dolphins live here all year round. Up to 21 different species can be found in these waters, from the enormous blue whale to the formidable killer whale. There are two resident populations, short-finned pilot whales and bottlenose dolphins, which can be observed on almost 80% of the days of the year, with a sighting success rate of close to 100%. An unmissable experience in the area, just a short distance from the hotel.
Masca Trekking
The Barranco de Masca offers a magnificent, sunlit landscape where unique native flora of incomparable beauty grows. It can be reached by boat and, once here, guests can discover typical Canarian delicacies such as fresh goat's cheese, cactus juice, local wines, jams and homemade sauces. The descent takes between 3 and 4 hours until you reach the beach, where you can enjoy a well-deserved swim and relax in the sun while waiting for the boat that will take you back to Los Gigantes.
Diving
Tenerife is an authentic paradise for "under the sea" holidays thanks to its rich natural sea beds, privileged climate, with temperatures between 19 and 25 degrees all year round, and a sea that is almost always calm. Sunken shipwrecks, caverns and volcanic caves are an attractive incentive to enjoy this sport in Tenerife. Besides, the island boasts a complete network of centres for experienced divers or beginners.
Hiking
The hiking routes in Tenerife offer a vast variety of environments, climates, landscapes and difficulty levels. These trails offer visitors the chance to get to know the island better, to discover the depth of its beauty and to learn about the way of life of its first inhabitants, the Guanches. It was the Guanches that opened up the first routes through the thick subtropical laurel forests or to the nearby farmlands of El Teide.
Sport fishing
Test your sport fishing skills on the rocky Tenerife coastline. You can choose from various hard-to-catch fish such as white bream, catfish, groupers, etc. The island offers deep-sea fishing, bottom fishing, coastal fishing and electrical reel fishing.
Roundtrip to La Gomera
The island of La Gomera was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, making it the only island in Spain to hold this distinction. The journey will begin at the port of Los Cristianos in Tenerife. After arriving by ferry in San Sebastián de La Gomera, the route continues south before ascending to the laurel forest of Garajonay National Park, home to pristine vegetation.
Excursion to the Teide National Park
A must-see in Tenerife, the 3,718-metre-high Mount Teide is the highest peak in Spain and the third highest in the world. The entire area was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site and boasts spectacular native flora and fauna. Mount Teide recently received Starlight certification, recognising it internationally as a privileged location for stargazing.
