“Perfect. I cried when I had to leave!”

Where to start? Our first family holiday with our 10 month old son and it was just perfect. We had room 1308 which was definitely one of the larger 1 bedroom rooms with balconies on two sides, spacious with a huge balcony (they all have big balconies on the family side, unsure of the adult side) the room is a suite with dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer etc. All excellent quality with everything you’d need to cook too. The bed was huge and super comfortable! The cot was brilliant too and also felt comfy which is rare!! Two big televisions should you need them. The staff were just brilliant and so wonderful with children too. Will try and be brief and squeeze it all in! There are supermarkets in walking distance to the hotel. Fab beach bar with live music 5pm each night. Breakfast buffet of dreams in the hotel! We ate at the buffet restaurant too one night too which was lovely with live music on. The rest of the time we ate at the lovely village in walking distance of the hotel la caleta, so much choice but we loved Lagarto (very cool), El Cadelo (simple cheap Spanish food next to the sea), Trattoria (Italian with a sweet balcony lit up) and Rosso Sul Mare (beautiful place need to book for the best seats) great service in them all. We also got a taxi 7 for 7 euros each way (you can walk approx 30 mins) to the centre by the designer malls and ate by the beach at La Torre Del Mirador, lively place by the beach and always busy so book for balcony seats. Fanabe is the same distance and has lots of places to eat, a mix of tacky brits abroad and classy here but a fun place! I’d say pack less heels and more flats for this holiday unless staying in the hotel or getting a taxi out because everywhere is quite up and down. I’ve added pics and videos to my Instagram @thecopperbeechhouse (will add more this week) and dj Kate Lawlor has done the same showing the adult side of the hotel. In short, the hotel from the stunning reception, staff, room (perfect in every way), balcony, bar and location were all amazing! We will be back!

    “So far so good but.......”

Second night into 2 week stay. Cannot fault accommodation. Haven’t tried restaurants yet as La Caleta has so many options. However, we are keen to have a bar with entertainment until at least midnight. This does not seem to exist at the Royal Hideaway. Seems the hotel switches off at 9.30 pm. Not sure this is a good marketing factor. There are hotels nearby such as El Mirador and Bahía Del Duque which will provide much better entertainment although just for their guests. This could be this hotel’s failure to attract guests going forward.

    “100% going back”

The biggest dilemma is whether to tell our friends about this brilliant hotel or keep it as a selfish secret! Everything about the hotel is class, and we’ve found our winter sun go-to location for the next few years. Note - the rooms are BRILLIANT but the class doors on the shower and adjoining WC leave little to the imagination when needing to use them for what they’re designed for......make sure you know your companion well!!

    “A truly amazing break”

The hotel and staff were all amazing. The food, service and the hotel itself was excellent. The town itself small but with exquisite Resturant choices all offering a variety of cuisines again of an excellent quality. I would recommend booking in advance. The views and place is tranquil, well worth the spend. I would love to go back.

    “2nd visit...even better”

...if that's possible, this hotel has absolutely everything. Fantastic staff, particularly the housekeeping who are absolutely amazing, I just hope they are rewarded well for their sterling efforts. The reception, pool and restaurant staff are also a major asset to this hotel. The ambience by the pool, is just so tranquil, this hotel has everything you could wish for, particularly if you are a discerning holidaymaker.
