The hotel occupies the historic Canfranc International Railway Station, an exceptional architectural complex that, following an ambitious rehabilitation project, has regained its former prominence to become one of the Pyrenees' leading luxury destinations. Much of the hotel's character lies in the architecture of the building itself. Designed by architect Fernando Ramírez Dampierre and inspired by the great French railway stations of the 19th century, the station stands out for its slate roofs, dormer windows, pinnacles, art deco features and a large central dome.

The experience continues along the bunker route, featuring fortifications built to defend the population against potential invasions from France that never materialised. These military structures, built between 1944 and 1959, stretch across the entire Pyrenees and form part of the largest fortification project undertaken in Spain following the Civil War.
