If you’re in Alicante and want to explore the surrounding area and make the most of your trip, this excursion is perfect for you. Departing early in the morning, we’ll head to Benidorm to pick up other participants and continue to our first stop: Altea.

In this special corner of the Costa Blanca, we’ll enjoy a guided tour of its charming old town. We’ll wander through the narrow, cobbled streets while admiring the whitewashed houses with their carefully decorated balconies. The historic center features the Church of Consuelo and its vaults, visible from any point in this town in the Marina Baja. After the walking tour, we’ll have some free time to stroll and enjoy a drink at our own pace.

Afterward, we’ll hop back on the bus to head to Guadalest, one of the most beautiful medieval towns in Spain. We’ll begin with a walking tour that will take us to its must-see monuments, such as the Castillo de San José, an ancient fortress surrounded by mountains with spectacular views.

While admiring the Baroque church or the Town Hall Square, we’ll learn the secrets of the Orduña family, owners of a 17th-century noble house that now houses a valuable art collection. Despite its size, Guadalest boasts numerous original galleries that you shouldn’t miss during your free time. You’ll have the opportunity to visit the Microminiatures Museum, the Microgiant Museum, the Salt and Pepper Shakers Museum, and the Ethnological Museum. This will also be the perfect time for a leisurely lunch.

In the afternoon, we’ll arrive at Fuentes del Algar, a nature reserve with waterfalls and pools where you can relax outdoors. You’ll have about two hours to explore at your leisure, visiting the Arboretum or the Estret de Sacos. If you wish, it’s the perfect place to take a refreshing dip before heading back to Alicante.
