Fuengirola is full of small shops and boutiques where you can find everything from international brands to a variety of accessories and handicrafts. Nevertheless, the best thing to do is clearly stroll through the city centre and the promenade and, if you want something more concentrated, go to the Miramar shopping centre.

One of the most popular thoroughfares is Marbella Street, lined with elegant boutiques interspersed with smaller shops. Also nearby is Ramón y Cajal Avenue, where traditional shops alternate with department stores offering everything. 

A good alternative for shopping is clearly the promenade and its surroundings. In fact, this area has some very popular craft stalls among tourists, along with all kinds of stores and beach bars where you can window shop and refresh yourself.

The shopping centre you must visit if you are in Fuengirola is clearly Miramar, with more than 119,000 square metres full of shops, restaurants and leisure facilities. In fact, it is one of the largest on the Costa del Sol.

This shopping centre is located on Encarnación Avenue and has more than 700 parking areas that make your visit much easier.

Apart from the cinema and other entertainment options, it also has specialised supermarkets and own-brand shops. 

Nearby, you can also visit the El Corte Inglés outlet store, with large discounts on clothing, swimwear, accessories and home decorations. It is a must for bargain hunters as you can find quality goods at excellent prices.

Fuengirola also has a physical market, Nuestra Señora Virgen del Carmen, on Los Boliches Avenue, with fruit stalls, butchers, fishmongers and several bakeries focusing on local produce.

Fuengirola is full of all types of street markets where you can find everything from the freshest fruit and vegetables to local treasures and antiques. The two main ones are held on Tuesday, at the fairground, and on Sunday, at Doña Sofía Park.

In both cases, there are hundreds of stalls selling clothes, shoes, flowers, handicrafts and nuts.

Also, on Saturday mornings there is a flea market in the fairground area with many stalls selling second-hand goods, antiques and handicrafts. Among the most eye-catching things to buy at the flea market are bicycles, books, music, clothes and costume jewellery.

If you are looking for original handicrafts, the Las Cabañas Market on Los Boliches beach is the ideal place to find natural soaps, handmade accessories and creative cooking products.

Most tourists who visit Fuengirola buy a lot of clothes or accessories, as well as handmade articles made by local artisans at some of the stalls or shops that sell them.

Decorative ceramics, with their many enamelled plates, but also wrought iron and leather goods are among the most typical.

The handbag and purse stalls are some of the most popular with visitors mingling with textile creations for both beach and everyday wear.

There is also a long tradition of making gold and silver jewellery, which can be bought mainly at the craft stalls on the street markets.
