Located in the heart of the city it is full of ancient remains from its Roman and medieval past. Popularly known as the ""Call"", this area was home to 1000 inhabitants during the Middle Ages, making it one of the most important Jewish communities in the history of Spain.

• While exploring the pretty narrow streets of the Jewish quarter, the hometown of Nahmanides, the medieval Kabbalistic philosopher, you will visit the places where the 3 synagogues of the city were located, you will discover all about the customs and traditions of the Jewish people.

• You will also visit the Museum of the History of the Jewish Community (tickets included) to learn more about their way of life. Then your guide will lead you through the labyrinthine streets while explaining the story of the Expulsion of the Jews in 1492, an act that ended 600 years of living together.

• After this visit you will have new knowledge about the influence left by the Jewish community in Girona and a different, more complete view of the history of this area and of Spain in General.
