Description
Enjoy a unique experience at the Almond Blossom Festival, one of the most emblematic events in Tejeda and on the island of Gran Canaria. This celebration takes place each year when the almond trees come into bloom, painting the landscape in white and pink tones and marking the beginning of the town’s traditional festive calendar.
The event features an opening ceremony and an exhibition of traditional Canarian handicrafts, offering a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the islands. Visitors can enjoy the performance of the Rancho de Ánimas of Tejeda as it makes its way through the streets of the town, a unique expression of Canarian oral and musical tradition, as well as an exhibition of native animals.
The programme is completed with a folk music gathering, traditional dances, and a tasting of typical local dishes and products, especially those made with almonds, a gastronomic symbol of the area. All of this creates an unforgettable experience celebrating traditions, music, local cuisine, and the close bond between nature and the popular culture of Tejeda.
