What the experience includes
Our 7-hour guided tour will take you to three of the most emblematic spots in Gran Canaria: two protected natural spaces of huge environmental significance and the elegant Puerto de Mogán. You will also get to know the entire southern side of the island.
Our professional guides are specially trained to provide expert insight during the trip and answer any questions you may have, making each excursion a unique experience. This is why there are never more than 18 people per group.
Our first stop is a truly magical place: the Valley of Guayadeque, which means ‘place where the water runs’. The little stream that snakes through the valley is the only permanent water source that flows all year round on the island. The whole area has been declared a Natural Monument, and is a protected area where no new construction is allowed. The only buildings permitted are those in the area of Los Marteles, a village of cave houses, where we will visit a little chapel and an exotic restaurant. The whole village is carved into the rocky walls of a ravine and is quite a sight to behold!
The next stop is Puerto Mogán, a former fishing village that is now one of the most elegant and attractive tourist spots on the southern side of the island. You will find an eclectic mix of large boats, yachts, small fishing vessels and pleasure boats. All this is topped off with a fine sandy beach skirted by a walkway over little canals, which only add to the attractiveness of a pretty fishing village where gardens, shops and restaurants are interspersed.
You will have one hour of free time in Puerto Mogán to grab some lunch (not included in the price), have a swim, or simply stroll around the town.
Lastly, we will visit the exceptional Maspalomas Dunes Nature Reserve. This exceptional area boasts 400 hectares of pristine beach, an organic and shifting field of dunes, a palm grove and a saltwater lagoon of great environmental value, as it is a stopping place for migratory birds.
We will accompany you to Maspalomas lighthouse and La Charca to tell you all about the different aspects of this unique ecosystem. Afterwards you will have free time to enjoy the dunes and go swimming at the beach.
A fun and exclusive trip around the southern part of the island, taking in three of the best-loved and most typical places on Gran Canaria.
