With over nine years of experience teaching in Isla Canela, we are an Official Ozone School. Our instructors are certified by the Spanish Sailing Federation and hold the international IKO (International Kiteboarding Organization) qualification. Isla Canela's stunning beaches offer ideal conditions for kitesurfing beginners, with perfect shallow lagoons and a steady, gentle wind.
We take a step-by-step approach, beginning with essential theory and safety guidelines. You'll learn about wind conditions and equipment, including assembly and safety procedures. To master kite control, you'll practice flying a small kite on land, ensuring a safe and easy learning process. Finally, it's time to hit the water!
Believe it or not, the groundwork we lay on land is crucial for your success on the water. Focus and a positive mindset are key. Remember, 70% of your progress depends on your motivation. Are you ready to embark on your kitesurfing adventure?
What should you know before you go?
- You can take the course in several days. We want you always at 100% concentrated, we will agree on it when we meet to start classes. It is not necessary for them to be consecutive days, but we recommend continuity in classes, as long as conditions allow it
- It is essential to know swimming
- Activity only suitable for people over 12 years old
- Children under 18 must take the course with a legal guardian
- We are open from 10:00 to 20:00 every day from May to October, during the booking process we will ask you at what time you would like to take the course, we will try to adjust to the requested schedule, or we will offer you an alternative schedule. In any case, we will confirm it to you via email or phone
What to bring?
- Swimsuit, towel
- A replacement of dry clothes for when you finish the activity
- It is advisable to use sunscreen and bring water and some type of snack or energy bar
Included on booking:
- 4-hour individual private kitesurfing course
- Concepts and skills you are going to learn: Knowledge of the wind, safety and self-rescue systems, material needed to practice kite surfing, mounting and handling the kite, first experience of kitesurfing in the sea
- Kitesurfing instructor certified by the Spanish Sailing Federation and the international IKO certification
- All the necessary equipment for practice kitesurfing
- Wetsuit or Lycra
- Civil Liability Insurance
Not included on booking:
- Pick-up service. You must go on your own to the activity starting meeting point
