The history of the house and gardens is already documented in times of Arab domination.
Initially, the houses of Gothic typology, with a marked rural and fortified character, were structured around an enclosed courtyard, and a tower was incorporated into the 16th century. The great reform of the 18th century provided Alfabia with its baroque elements, the most defining of its current configuration. This reform entailed a substantial expansion of the original houses, providing them with a new layout and decoration but always maintaining the concept of a rural house. In the second half of the 19th century, a new and important intervention took place that modified part of the previous reforms.
