The Occidental Cozumel has a wide variety of land and water sports such as diving clinics in the pool, beach volleyball, kayaks, snorkelling equipment, and water polo.

There's also a kid’s club with a garden and paddling pool, a daytime and evening entertainment programme for the whole family, as well as a 5-star PADI diving shop within the facilities.

There are 4 on-site pools: activity pool, relaxation pool (adults only), children’s pool and hydromassage pool for Royal Level guests.

In March 2016, UNESCO included the island of Cozumel in the World Network of Biosphere Reserves. Furthermore, part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef System is located on the island. • Preserving natural areas by caring for endemic flora and fauna, carrying out scheduled activities and circulating information among guests and staff. Respecting prohibited areas, avoiding the removal of anything from the reef and no fishing within the protected area of the marine park.

• Controlling and handling waste generated by activities derived from hotel operations.

• Reaffirming our commitment to society, ensuring our internal policies incorporate the National Code of Conduct for the protection of children and adolescents in the travel and tourism sector promoted by SECTUR.
• Implementing the Responsible Tourist Code, to inform guests about the importance of environmental conservation and cultural heritage on the island of Cozumel, in order to promote respectful and ethical tourism.

For those interested in keeping fit during the holidays, the hotel offers 1 tennis and pickleball court and 1 multi-purpose court (tennis, basketball, volleyball, soccer) with night lighting (at an additional cost), a fully equipped fitness centre , a wellness centre with sauna, showers, massage cabins (individual or couples) and a jacuzzi area.

We also offer the chance to practice non-motorised water sports, such as snorkelling and kayaking (included in your package), or motorised water sports, scuba diving and deep-sea fishing (subject to charge).
