    “Trip of a LIFETIME”

    My best friend and I are 22 and 21 years old. We wanted to book a 5 day vacation somewhere all inclusive. We are in college and grad school so we weren't expecting it to be anywhere this beautiful. When we got to the resort, we could not believe our eyes. We were greeted by the most welcoming and friendly staff members. The resort was absolutely breathtaking. They took our luggage and got us settled right away. There are two large pools; the first being a more calm and relaxing pool while the second one is attached to a swim up bar filled with beautiful views and the entertainment crew. The employees offer so many activities between water polo, bingo around the pool, water aerobics, dancing contests. The employees watch the children at a kids club. The drinks were non stop and the weather was beautiful. Our hotel was so clean which was honestly so comforting. The food was amazing and so many options. We felt like princesses and had the absolute best time. The resort is also walking distance from so many cute shops. One night we even took a taxi cab to La Playa Carmen five minutes away. Lucio Munoz was so helpful and sweet and we cant wait to go back. I made a Go Pro Video and everyone is obsessed with how beautiful and fun Allegro Playacar looks!!!

    “Awesome resort”

    We were at Allegro Playacar July 03-July 17 2018.Everything was very good :all Allegro staff, room, food, pools,entertainment and beach.There was a seaweed but it is not a hotel`s fault.The Playacar beach is huge and public, so we were able to find clean spot and enjoy swimming.The only complain from us that this hotel doesn`t have computers with internet pay per use.When you travel devices free like us you want to have at least option to access an e-mail and internet in case of an emergency. Management of the hotel should invest in 2/3 computers with pay per use internet because not all guests travel with the devices.The hotel has a wifi but you have to pay for it and some guests said that it is very poor connection.Do not change money at reception go across to Playacar Shopping Mall because the excange rate is way better.Also free wifi is in Starbucks at same mall.We went to Isla contoy & Isla de Mujeres tour.Got it from guys who sell tours at Playacar Shopping Mall.The tour was great and much much cheaper than in hotel from Air Transat or any other hotel tour operators.We had great time at Allegro Playacar.

    “I would rethink if I were you”

    I recently stayed 5 days at the Allegro Playacar. This hotel should be a 1 star property. Pros for this hotel is that it’s easy accessible for people with mobility problems. The beach is a long stretch of beach and is also swimmable. They have hammock on the balcony which I haven’t seen any other property before. They also have a basketball court, a soccer field, and tennis court. They do not have a swim up bar but they make up for this by having poolside service. It’s in a great gated community of Playa del Carmen. It’s about a 20 to 25 minute walk to 5th ave or a $7 dollar taxi ride. Cons for this property are first in the rooms, they are very small. The air-conditioner barely worked, the beds were super hard and uncomfortable. There is no room service or WiFi. They have a kids club with no supervision. The food at the restaurants was very mediocre. Plates forks spoons cups were sometimes unavailable for 5 minutes at a time. Most of the staff members did not understand English. The nighttime entertainment was unenthusiastic. They are unlimited vacation club that they offer people are rude and Unloyal and dishonest. Beach towels were sometimes not available and we had to wait hours at a time to get new ones. The food quality was very limited. I’ve been to many hotels in many different countries. I’ve also stayed at many Occidentals and by far I will have to say this has to be the worst one.

    “Amazing staff make this resort awesome!”

    Very clean resort, amazing staff, entertainment department is so hard working - they take the time to learn your name, get people involved in activities and are very high energy. The staff was my favorite part of the trip! Breakfast in main buffet is not the best, however the lunch buffet by the pool is great!

    “Never Again...”

    The stay was average on all counts...the food was average, the drinks were average, the whole experience was average. Would i ever come back? No. The rooms are extremely small and not at all like the pictures portray. We had to beg for a suite and thankfully they were able to accommodate us otherwise it would have been horrible. The staff is wonderful and helpful and kind. The bathrooms were the worst thing of all.. unfinished tiles, dirty corners, peeling tubs and sinks, ants all over the place, and the worst...brown water coming out of the sink and tub faucets. The pool was ok, but the activities were great and again, the staff couldn't be better. Another disappointing thing was the ocean...it was filthy with seaweed. You couldn't swim how dirty it was...and if you ventured out to the deep, you had a good chance of getting your head knocked off with a speeding jet ski or boat flying by. We stayed at Playa del Carmen a couple of times before...this was by far the worst experience all around.
