    “Just OK, great beach”

    The resort staff are wonderful and the beach was beautiful. However, the food options were minimal and there are a lot of upgrades that are needed in the rooms. If you are on a budget, I recommend, but if you can spend a couple more hundreds, do it.

    “Currently a 3 star resort (I had been there once before and would have given a 4 star rating... not anymore.”

    Food was always cold/cool and not always cooked (potatoes were definitely undercooked and were very hard), air conditioning in rooms was extremely loud, front desk staff were not friendly or helpful at all this time, they were not quick to assist people at the counter. This was my second time at the hotel and the service has gone down a lot since last December. I asked for the front desk to change a $5 US bill so I could have some $1 bills (to tip the staff) and was told no they couldn’t do that. To charge $20 US to extend the check out time for a couple of hours (I was travelling with my two children) is ridiculous in my opinion. I left my luggage at noon with the men at the front and I went back at 3 pm. My 3 suitcases were not watched and they could have easily been taken without anyone noticing. Clean dishes were not always clean. It was quite gross to pick up a plate to have it feel slimy and to see left over food on there. This happened frequently. People working the grill (omelettes and burgers) were REALLY slow. Sometimes only helping one person at a time when they could have been cooking for 3-4 people as the grills at the pool and at the main buffet were big enough.

    “A great resort for long stays”

    We are in the third week of a four week stay and we are loving every moment. The facility is great, close to the beach, good variety of food and amazing, friendly and always smiling staff, especially the activities team headed by Ivan with the help of Glen, Valeria,Jesus and Enrique. Evening entertainment is top notch with participation of professional dancers and singers and amazing costumes. Special mention for the front desk staff Rene' and Artemiza for their assistance. We highly recommend this resort.

    “Great Place to Stay”

    I really like Allegro. It was very comfortable. The resort was right by the beach, very pretty and well maintained. The food was good, even for vegetarians. I don't drink much but if I did, I would have enjoyed more. The rooms were good size, although getting hot water out of the showers took some time, but eventually it was there. The pools were great and so was the night entertainment. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing I did not like was that wanted to take one morning of our time for talking to us about time share. We refused, but they do try. The location was a little far from 5th Ave in Playa del Carmen, but otherwise it was a nice all inclusive place.

    “New Years get-a -way”

    WE had a great time. Humberto took great care of us at the buffet and at pool side. Jesus, Valaria, Glen, and Enrique (the entertainment staff) were all awesome and kept us entertained. Great place for couples and families.

    “A great resort for long stays”

    “Great Place to Stay”
