    “Excellent weeks holiday”

We were looking for a holiday to suit two, late teens, teenage sons. Accommodation was excellent, rooms were large, huge beds, lots of space and good bathroom. Staff were really polite and helpful. No issues around being all inclusive, treated just as well as half boarders etc. Pool was huge and no issue around getting sun beds even though it was third week of August. Short walk to the beach and actually good to be set back from the business of the beach and strip. Lots of families at the hotel with children of all ages and from lots of countries. We were concerned about the strip before we went but actually we were amazed how many families were out and about up until midnightish and we didn't come across any rowdy drunken behaviour - just very busy! A week was enough - no criticism of the hotel or staff, just not al ot to do in the surrounding area. We would recommend getting the water taxi to Nessibar though. Take your beach stuff too and enjoy the little beach while you are there.

“Great hotel - great facilities - great location!”

My wife and I stayed here for a week at the end of September - and I honestly am struggling to fault the place. Great hotel - nice and clean - all the facilities you’d want, good food, drink, and service. We had a one bedroom apartment in block C - which you had to access by walking a short distance out of the main lobby. The apartments themselves are spacious, and have quiet air-con which doesn’t dry out the air so you can leave it on at night without fear of waking up with a sore throat. There was a large tv in the lounge, and a small one in the bedroom - not that we used them much apart from the music channels whilst getting ready to go out in the evenings. The meals throughout the day are pretty impressive - with plenty of healthy or more indulgent foods to choose from, and the staff work non-stop (if a little chaotically!) to ensure that tables are cleared and the place remains clean and tidy. As with many members of staff in the hospitality business though - they all seemed a little un-smiley - but we were at the end of the season I guess - although one girl did stand out as very happy and pleasant - and she worked the pool bar in the morning, the restaurant during the day, and then the piano bar in the evenings - tireless! My wife also used the spa facility for an all over body massage which she said was fantastic - and we used the steam and sauna rooms which were also good. The indoor swimming pool does use sulphur as a disinfectant it seems - so it smells a little eggy - but you’ll soon realise it’s a lot kinder to your eyes than chlorine, and leaves your skin feeling clean and soft. Not sure about the outdoor ones as they were too cold for me! The only negative comment I have is the apparent lack of sound-proofing the main door into the apartment had - it may as well have been wide open - one person even heard my wife wind me up with a rendition of “Baby shark” (don’t listen to the song - you’ll hate yourself) and decided to join in! Apart from that - nothing else bad to report. If we ever came back to sunny beach - we’d more than likely stay here!

    “Royal barchelo sunny beach”

Well we’re do I start all these stupid reviews about the rooms dated and staff not nice well let me correct you I’m currently hear on a 11 night stay the staff hear can’t do enough for you they Evan rooms are lovely very modern 40 inch tv in living room and got to be a 20 inch in bedroom air on could do with been a bit colder as I have had it in all night and only gets down to 21degrees also the rooms are cleaned daily with replacement towels it seems quite for a big hotel food is lovely but I’m a fussy eater oh and the desert are 10/10 we have been hear now for 6 days and for me the entertainment could do with look at for next season its good but Maybey do it outside as the sports bar isn’t that big, the gym is excellent if your a regular gym goer and the spa is great only real criticism I could give for this hotel is the pools there are freezing like jumping into the North Pole sea so my 18 month baby hasn’t been in the pools because they are to cold if your booking this hotel I would recommend as I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world and this is up there with the big ones.

“Lovely Hotel, amazing food, amazing all inclusive drinks, lovely pools”

We had one of the best holidays here at Royal Beach, the hotel itself is situated approx. half way along Sunny Beach, which is away from the noisier bars and nightlife (but still lots going on, nicer for families) and is a 1 to 2 min walk to the lovely sandy beach. The food was amazing, better than we'd expected, always a huge choice and even our fussy kids were raving about it. They loved the ice creams and slushies and we loved the cocktails! We spent most mornings on the beach and returned to the hotel late morning/lunchtime and never had a problem getting a sunbed, always 2 or 3 beds together. The swimming pools were big and lovely, we mostly stayed in the big one as our kids are 9 and 12. We felt completely relaxed and at ease that we didn't venture too far from the hotel. We went to Aquapark at Nessebar which is always a good fun day out, there is a free bus that runs frequently. In the evening its lovely to walk along the shops/stalls along the beach and pick up some cheap items. I had a massage on the beach which was 30 lev (£15) for 45 mins - very nice! The transfer time from the airport is only 35/40 mins. The staff were always friendly and polite. The only issue we had was the floor in our room could have been mopped more often as our feet were black soon after stepping out the shower. The room was adequate for our needs and lets face it, how long are you in your room for, we only shower and sleep there. We would love to return here next year but unfortunately the prices have increased dramatically by around 25%.
