    Amazing hospitality and a beautiful environment. Very e Clean on everything. The staff is friendly and will Service you in anything you want need. Me and my friends were there for 5 days and didn't get bored.

    “Amazing girls trip!”

    Barcelo Mayo was awsome! As soon as we arrived we were greeted with very friendly and helpful staff.. My girlfriends and I ended up getting two rooms and upon check-in our front desk guy Anaceleto Yopez upgraded BOTH of our rooms. The rooms were spotless and beautiful. The whole resort was clean. Food was absolutely delicious... The only slight downfall was the beach had alot of seaweed however crew was working hard at trying to keep it clean. I myself am definitely planning on coming back soon with my family because this resort has things for the whole family of all ages. See you soon Barcelo Mayo!!!!

    “Incredible vacation”

    We were at the water park and we spend the day there, we loved the place they have big slides, and boogie board it was super fun, the trainers Josue, Nestor and Gustavo were amazing, they’re good trainers at the front desk the ladies Roxana and Daniela were so helpful we loved the pirate island!

    “Fitness girl”

    They have the best personal trainers here, great environment, super clean, nice people, and a great location! I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a positive environment to be in while working out. :)

    “Not a 5 Star Experience”

    This hotel is a 3 star at best. We paid extra and went premium level, what a waste of time and money. Their a la carte restaurants require reservations 24 hours in advance. Not a big deal but when you get there the only drinks included in your 'premium level all inclusive package' is the cheap house wine or beer??? We made a reservation 24 hours in advance with a member of staff in the Premium Lounge to celebrate my son's birthday, the whole reason for the vacation. Arrive at the restaurant NO RESERVATION!! They did their best to accommodate us and we all sat at different tables(it was hibachi) !!! Not good enough sorry! Requested 4 extra pillows for our TWO ROOMs. They arrived an HOUR AND A HALF later and only TWO pillows were brought. They arrived at 10:45pm. Couldn't find the switch to turn off the overhead ceiling fan so I called and asked for help. After trying to explain what a ceiling fan was, a rather impatient member of staff told me that it will be turned off at 11:00pm? What? You mean I can't operate it personally, she sighed, as if I was taking up too much of her valuable time, and told me there was nothing she could do. Needless to say the fan stayed on for the duration of our stay. The food in the buffet is extensive, but I think the focus is more quantity rather than quality. On check-out morning, I went down to pay my bill before breakfast (which they advise), and after confirming that my checkout would probably be at 9:30am, I return to my room to find my wifi has been disconnected 'wifi expired'. Coffee supplied in room, but just coffee. No sugar, creamer or stirrer !!!!! Beach towels are reminiscent of a 3 star hotel. Upgrade your facilities. Never again!

I understand your frustration, and I sincerely apologize for any inconvenience we have caused you. It is my goal to restore your confidence in our company by solving this problem and preventing it from happening again. We will address the points mentioned in your review about our staff via training and good hiring practices to reinforce and try to find employees that are motivated by serving others and gaining satisfaction and to create special moments for each of our guests, which is our main goal. In case of a la cart restaurants, we have certain sittings available for each time and we cannot overfill those spaces, because the service in a la cart restaurants is different that a buffet and in our effort for the deserve attention to all our guest we do not overfill the specialty restaurants. It saddens me to hear that you experience the maintenance and housekeeping issues described in your email. It is clear that housekeeping was not performing to their usual standards and I apologize for that. Regarding your comments about the food please let me share that we carry out internal surveys with many of our guests, and that we receive a high standard of satisfaction concerning our food variety, quality and hygiene. However, we do understand that each guest can have a different reaction. It is important to mention that we work not only with the Mexican Government and their “Distintivo H” program but also with an independent British/Mexican consultant “Cristal” that rigorously audits our food and hygiene standards every month from reception to storage, preparation, cooking and presentation. I am happy to inform you that our certification scores are always above the 95th percentile. Please permit me explain that our bag with coffee supplier includes sugar ,cream and stirrer for your beverage. Once again, I appreciate your understanding and deeply regret any inconvenience caused.
