    “Great stay”

    This is our 6th year and 3rd stay. We keep coming back because of the beautiful beach and the variety of the property. We always have a relaxing stay. The food is very good as are the amenities. Staff is helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the premium level services. They really add to the vacation experience.

    “Great vacation”

    This is a great place to stay. I would definitely stay here again. The resort has everything. The wifi is not free though. That was the only downside. The resort was internal tranportation to take you back and forth from place to place ie beach shopping restaurants

    “November 2018”

    The palace was excellent. We loved the location and staff. We did the premium level for our room. The premium level is worth it and would suggest anyone do it. The beach was beautiful and clean. The Barceló compound is so big that you wouldn't have to leave and could spend a week plus trying to do all it offers.

    “BEAUTIFUL RESORT - WE WILL BE BACK”

    My family and I visited this resort and will be back again. My kids are 13 and 18, and we all had a fabulous time. Resort is clean, and there is always some type of maintenance going on that seems insignificant, but that's probably why the resort is so nice. Wish there was a food option at the pool area, but I'm guessing because the pool is so large, I would want to keep food away from it too LOL. We were premier level and there is no signage when you initially come into the lobby (Pass the regular check in and go left till you hit the Premium Lobby). Being able to have 5 hotels in 1 is fabulous and we were never left with any "what do we do" moments. Jet Skis, Dolphins, Snorkeling, and diving are all right on the resort. We made the mistake of leaving the resort to go to Maroma Beach, which even though the ATV's were awesome, the constant sales pitches keeps you on guard the entire time when it's supposed to be your vacation. We couldn't wait to get back "home" to our resort. We found quickly that walking is quicker than the shuttle if you're physically able to do so. I could just keep going on and on, but hope some of this helps. When you 1st get there, hit La Hacienda or Mirador for both breakfast and lunch! Santa Fe and Rodrizio were the 2 best restaurants in my option.

    “Wish I could give it an "excellent" but”

    Much about our stay was excellent. The room and its amenities, the wonderful pools, the beach and ocean, and almost all of the staff. However, the two things that need improvement were: The food: while almost everything that we ate (in the buffets and all three restaurants) ranged from not bad to very good, with a few excellents and awfuls, a resort of this caliber should have more excellents and almost no awfuls or not bads. Information and communication: Although I tried very, very hard to find out what activities were happening, when they were happening, and where they were happening, no one seemed to be able to answer my questions, passing me on to the next person and sometimes giving wrong information. For example, when I asked about the activities listed like "cooking class" and "water aerobics" I was told they were not at the Palace but another section and they did not know which one. So when, the next day, from my balcony overlooking the pool I realized there was a water aerobics class I was really annoyed. Not good customer service on the part of the concierge and whomever else distributes the information. And not difficult to fix.
