    “Best Vacation so far”

This place is awesome, the food is so delicious and the rooms are so clean. The beach was not that fancy (compared to Riu Caribi Cancun) - rocky and you will need a good water shoes. On the other hand, the pool is HUGE and clean The kids club is fantastic, I recommend this place for families with young children.

    “Great experience”

We just returned from a wonderful week at the Maya Palace. Our check in took about 10 minutes or less. We stayed in the Premium section in the Michocán building, a great location for families. Our patio opened to the pool, which was very convenient for our kids, and the location was close to all the restaurants. (About a 7 min walk) Our room was spacious and very clean. Housecleaning staff did a wonderful job! Bed was large and very comfortable. No problems sleeping! Bathroom is spacious. Plenty of hot water and no problems with water pressure. We ate in the three specialty restaurants at the Palace. We did not experience difficulties getting reservations for 5:30-6pm dinner. Food in all three was excellent. Although we enjoyed the restaurants, we mainly ate at the buffets because we liked the flexibility of times, extensive food choices and the relaxed environment. El Mirador and La Hacienda are right next to each other so guests can go back and forth between the two. They have similar items but not everything is the same so it’s worth it to check out both. At both buffets the food was plentiful and quality was very good. The amount of choices was amazing; there was something for everyone. We did not use amenities from the other resorts in the complex. We spent most of our time at the pool. Although there were a lot of guests, it never felt crowded. For those with little children, there is a separate section with lots of slides that kept little ones entertained. I cannot say enough about the staff at the resort; they are exceptional. From housekeeping to servers in restaurants, all go above and beyond to make guests happy. They are especially kind and patient with children. A special thanks to Miguel Arcos at La Hacienda for taking such good care of us. You are awesome!! The only negative that we found was the beach. Although the water is beautiful, the beach itself is not. An entire section is cement with sand on top. Closer to the water there is a natural beach, meaning one made of sand without a cement base. It is rocky as you enter the water. There was a lot of seaweed but it is not just affecting this resort. We visited Tulum and it was far worse there! There were workers trying to remove it, but more would wash up on shore just as fast as they were removing it. Check out was as smooth as check in and took less than 5 minutes. We had a great stay at the Maya Palace. Overall, our experience was excellent and we would stay here again. We highly recommend this resort, especially to those with families.

    “Summer vacation”

Our stay at at Barcelo Palace was better than expected. Special thanks to Reyi Campos, Benjamin, and Adalberto from Rodizio restaurant for making our last night very special. In general, this resort is packed with activities, and they accommodate to whatever extracurricular activities u may need.

    “Beautifully Landscaped and Clean Resort”

The resort is beautiful and the staff is always working to keep the resort clean. We stayed at this resort in May of 2016 and loved it. We were disappointed with the food this time...quality didn’t seem to be as good. Room - no complaints. Ocean - ocean was clear. A couple days there was seaweed floating on top of the water. The resort did their best to clean up. Beach - it does not have the nicest beach. I don’t remember the beach being this bad two years ago....possible beach erosion? There are quite a few ruts in the rock base which makes it hard to walk. Also mixed in with the sand are tiny pieces of ?? which also make it hard to walk in the sand. FOOD - there are three buffets. Nice salad bar. Great fruit. For the most part the food was good. We also ate at the three restaurants in the Palace - French, Seafood and Steak. The food at all was.....ok. Waitstaff at all three were excellent. Again..all the food was not as good as it was two years ago. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend this resort.

    “Barcelo Palace”

Food and staff were great for an all exclusive. Forget about going into the ocean/beach, the seaweed was up to shoulders in certain areas. Only option it to swim in pools. Great for families, though. lots of pools/activities for the young ones. I would not go back here simply because there are better options everywhere to enjoy beach and ocean. The hotel itself was great, including the food ( except the carbide breakfast buffet)
