The Segura River runs almost at the foot of the hotel, a few steps from the important monumental and historical complex of Murcia. In a few streets there are numerous buildings with tradition and charming corners such as the Paseo Mota del Río Segura, the Jardín de Floridablanca and the gardens and Paseo del Malecón. Taking a walk we can discover such important places as the Episcopal Palace of Murcia, in baroque style, the remains of the Arab Wall, the Moneo building and the San Juan de Dios Monumental complex. Nearby are also the Cathedral of Murcia, the City Hall, the Palace of Las Balsas or the Museum of Fine Arts.
In terms of exhibition spaces, the Hydraulic Museum 'Los Molinos del Río Segura ́, a very unique building in a spectacular location; the Science and Water Museum which includes a planetarium, exhibition hall, interactive games room and water room; the Palacio Almudí art museum, home to the historical archive and place of temporary exhibitions; the Santa Clara museum and the Verónicas food market, located in a beautiful modernist-style building. The Royal Casino deserves a special mention, a building declared a historic-artistic monument in which various cultural events are organized and which is worth visiting.
To enjoy some leisure time there are places such as the Gran Casino Murcia, the Romea Theater, the Plaza de Toros, the Neocine Rex or the Francisco Rabal Film Library.
In the nearby streets there are also some recommended restaurants: La Parranda and La pequeña Taberna (both in the Plaza de San Juan), Salzillo, El pasaje de Zabalburu, El jardín de los dragones, Pura cepa, Pasaje de Belluga, El Jumillano or the vegetarian El Girasol are some of them. Another option is to go to the Plaza de Las Flores, 10 minutes from the hotel, and discover the fantastic tapas area of the city.
