    “Great place!!!”

    Love this place! I went with my husband and daughter last year for Spring break and going back this year again. Very clean, the gardens are beautiful, the food is delicious. We spend 8 days in heaven.

    “Worth every penny”

    This place exceeded my expectation and the staff make you love the DR even more. Plenty of things to keep you busy. The pool areas are nice and I love the swim up bar to get a quick drink. The Casino is fun and not overwhelming.

    “Poor Staff and Food”

    Orlando Diaz was Rude and the other employee backed us up when we was out of line. WAS NOTHING LIKE WHEN I WAS THERE 4 YEARS AGO. I was hoping for a great experience like I had the first time. Food was poor and the staff seemed like no one knew what was going on with every situation.

    First time at a Barcelò resort... place is amazing.. lots of ammenities and shops. Good entertainment... aqesome pool... food is great... beach is nice... could be a little cleaner, had a lot of seaweed on beach. Overall a nice resort

    “Dumpy, Horrible Customer Service”

    I reserved a $560/night junior suite for 1 night. The room was not ready when we arrived at 2:30pm so sat in the lobby until 3pm. Still not ready. Under pressure the check-in desk assigned us to another junior suite - smoking room with twin beds. Not what I had requested. I voiced my displeasure to the bellman and then called the front desk. Then began the string of lies and misdirection -Leticia told me hotel policy was that unless a guest told their bellhop they didn't like the room the guest could not be re-assigned to another room. Sorry Leticia, that's not a written policy and I already told the bellhop. Misdirection 2 - claimed I hadn't selected the correct bed/smoking preference. Leticia then admitted that the hotel was oversold and they had nowhere else to put us. She said since I live in the Dominican Republic I should be happy with the junior suite - never an apology, never an offer to discount our room, nothing. The room itself was worth $240/night - based on its proximity to the beach alone. This resort is dirty, dumpy, and in ill repair. Hallways and walkways flooded during rain. Elevators belong in a government hospital. Buffet was average at best and unsanitary. These all inclusives promise something to their distant customers and, once they have them captive in the Dominican Republic, proceed to underwhelm. The whole thing felt like a cattle car with no care for individual guests or the facilities themselves. Would never go back based on the customer service and mediocre digs.
