“Not bad but not a four star”

We have just come home a couple of days ago and we had a nice relaxing holiday however with the hotel being so high up it was very very windy so although it was sunny it did feel chilly at times. One day it rained so we thought we d use the indoor pool but were told it cost €10 per hour. Also not all drinks were all inclusive and the food was a bit disappointing and cold at times. The salads were great lots of fresh stuff and fresh fruit but after a week it was all a bit samey 😔 The eating area was like a big canteen could have done with some background music and plants etc. We had asked for the single room for my mum to be on the same floor but they said it was not possible and so she was on the floor above, which she didn't really feel comfortable with. We wouldn't stop here again in the resort by the beach....which was gorgeous ....there were nicer hotels and I don't think all inclusive is for us.

“Relaxing time at the Jandia Playa”

A massive hotel. The pictures on the website cant prepare you for its vastness. The check in was great with a good description of facilities and meal times provided. We were in block 2 in the gardens. The rooms are a little dated but overall typically spanish in layout with tiled floors throughout. The adult beds were super comfy but the pull out childs bed was super hard, although our daughter slept well on it with no complaints.Great views of the beach from our room which was next to the snack bar area. The choice of food in the snack area was dissapointing and not like the photos on the hotel web site, although adequate. The main buffet was very large with a wide selection of foods with average to good taste. My wife being Asian was looking forwards to the Asian section but it was most disappointing with the rice being long grain( not widely used in most asian cooking ) with a few peas and lashings of soya sauce - a taste change needed here and best avoided. Fish dishes were nice as were the paella dishes. Salad choice was good and tasty. A nice range of breads and rolls. Choice of puddings was good and very tasty. We found the breakfast to be the best menu choice of the day. The hotel is rated as a 4 star but the restaurant was self service which seemed to annoy some guests. I would personally only rate the restaurant as a 3 star affair although the staff were very friendly there. The worst thing was unless you arrive on opening you are subjected to queuing and the availability to foods is reduced as they are not all replenished frequently enough. There was a great kids club called Barcy which our daughter really enjoyed the two days that she attended. Ara was really great with the children as were others in the team. The entertainments team were funny and did a great job of entertaining the guests, my wife loved the aerobics and pool aerobics sessions. We thought the music in the bars could of done with more lively acts as the atmosphere was rather dull. The Piano bar area was nice with normally a few snacks and several areas of seating. Free parking at the hotel was nice. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Jandia playa and we came back home feeling we had had a relaxing holiday.

“fantastic hotel ,shame the food was cold”

Had a lovely week at this hotel ,but there are some things that weren't quite right. When we booked in only one girl on the desk so she checked us in with another couple only giving us our room keys and no information. Our room was clean and spacious but on the ground floor which we didn't want, after a trip to the reception we talked to another girl who was very helpful and gave us all the info we needed and arranged us another room the following morning. It was in main block no 226 a fantastic sea view and spacious like the other one, but the price we paid was the noise coming from the hotel yard below the corridor outside ,every morning about 4 30 am the noise was terrible, picking up full skips and replacing with empty ones, deliveries bottles clinking, cars being washed and general banging about.Only there for a few more days so stayed put.The restaurant, being the only one open as they have shut the other ones, was so over full, the poor staff couldn't keep up with the demand for clean tables. The food was always cold ,even after we complained nothing changed some food was coming from the kitchen cold, they just cannot get it right ,also the demand for food was so bad we were waiting around for food to be cooked at each station ,and the only place to get a warm plate to put food on was were the stir fries were being prepared. The whole experience at meal times was not a happy one.Maybe they should open the other restaurants again .All in all we enjoyed our stay as the hotel and staff were great .If only they could do something about the cold food .

Excellent week in the sun. Lovely hotel, good service, staff really on the ball, felt that our custom was valued. Good location. It was my husband's 60th birthday treat and it really was. Lots of lovely memories.

    “Winter holidays”

The hotel is good value for money, the food is delicious. You can have your meal outside enjoying the picturesque view of the ocean. The location is good in a quiet area but close to the shopping centres. The hotel is big with lots of palm trees and flowers.
