    “Beautiful Barcelo”

We had an amazing 10 days at this hotel. Everything about it was excellent. Staff were helpful and well organised. Our room was comfortable and clean. The best beds we have had on a holiday. The cleaner was amazing every day felt like we had just arrived. There was no rush for sun beds as they are not allowed to be reserved which was good. The entertainment team worked very hard and catered for everyone. We will definitely be going back if not just for the amazing panoramic views from the restaurant. A beautiful hotel with great staff a great experience

Excellent stay. Great entertainment! However, the pool wasn't cleaned regularly and there weren't enough sun lounger or umbrellas for the amount of customers. Overall beautiful scenery and very helpful staff.

    “Beautiful hotel, quiet location”

The hotel is beautiful and is perfect for a relaxed holiday. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Rooms are kept really clean too. The only thing we noted all holiday is that we are not sure our bedding was changed. The entertainment for the evening is perfect for a younger family, however some evening entertainment acts are multilingual. There's lots of things for kids to get involved in during the day and night at the hotel. We're a family of fussy eaters so ate out for a majority of the holiday. If you walk down to the port (15mins) there is a small variety of restaurants to chose from. The Courtyard, which is just across the road from Barcelo Santiago, does a beautiful English breakfast and I would highly recommend it! If you are looking for a more lively holiday then I wouldn't suggested this location.

    “Chilled holiday with stunning views”

Just come back from a weeks holiday at the Barcelo Santiago, the views were beautiful and the weather was very hot, which was perfect for us, was a bit worried because i was told that the south is the hottest and that the west was clouded, which we had for one day but other than that the weather was gorgeous. The hotel itself was clean and cleaners were always around the resort cleaning emptying bins by the pool and cleaning the toilets which were in the lobby. The rooms we found were a bit cramp for 3 we went with our 15yr old daughter , there wasnt much room when you pulled the sofa bed out and with the suitcases out, the bathroom was ok, could really do with updating , the toilet sometimes wouldn't flush and the bath with the shower had a lot of limescale and mould, which looked dirty. The air conditioning in the room was awful, it was just a blower with a bit of cold air didnt really make a difference to the room, so at night it was hard to sleep because it was to hot. Was a bit shocked that we had to pay for the safe, that's normaly included with all inclusive. The view from our room was stunning. The pools were great enough space for everyone and enough beds, tho you have to put your towels out in advance if you want to be by the pool. The pool bar staff were great and helpful, was nice that they had a slush puppy machine that you could help yourself to if you were all inclusive and cake :) The staff in the hotel reception were very helpful and in the restaurant, they were lovely and smiley. The food was loveIy, plenty to choose from. found the toilets in reception and by the restaurant smelt alot, had to hold my breath everytime i used them cause they were that bad. I had a allergic reaction to something whilst i was out there, so i needed to see someone as had a bad rash and feet and hands had swelled, the reception and rep did say i could get a doctor out but had to pay 70 euros for the doctor , but we just went to the chemist and they said if we had the ehic card we could go to the doctors nearby , which we did and we didnt pay and i had a jab and was given some tablets, something i think the reception and rep should know and save people money. A week wasnt long enough, we had a fab time, entertainment was good , would recommend for families.

    “Amazing hotel, with lovely views!”

Just returned from a 11 night stay at the Barcelona Santiago and what a fantastic time we all had. Travelled with my husband and 2 sons aged 19 and 15 so was a little worried that they would be bored, needn't have worried as they had a great time. The evening entertainment was the best I've seen abroad, the food was fantastic and always so much choice (the catering staff and waiters work so hard and need regognition). The pools were lovely and never had a problem getting a sunbed all be it not always round the pool. The bartender's were lovely, polite and very attentive ( you never had an empty glass for long) . The hotel itself was spotlessly clean and the maids cleaned your rooms daily and changed the towels daily too if needed. All the hotel staff were friendly. I would most definitely recommend this beautiful hotel with the amazing views and we are already looking to book for next year. Thank you Barcelo for making our holiday relaxing and stress free.
