    “Great views, nothing to complain about”

    Just had 4 days here over half term, room was good, shower acceptable and food was plentiful. The rooms felt a little tired. The reception was understaffed at arrival and at departure which took the shine off. Our check out was 12 but the bus didn't pick us up till 4 so a bit of hanging about and nowhere to change so used the toilets. There is food available in the pool bar but only at certain times of day and it was embarrassing to be refused as the time wasn't correct - only learnt by experience- if the restaurant is open then the pool food isn't covered by the all inclusive. Certainly worth opting for the all inclusive but it stopped at 11pm - fine for me but again only found out through being refused- not cool!

    “Good hotel with great service”

    When we were there the wind was high - it seems to be a feature of the place. There are parts of the building (particularly the rooms with Jacuzzi tubs on the south side of the building) that are sheltered and lovely sun traps. The location is very pretty - but Puerto de Santiago has no beach to speak of (some dark sand a few minutes walk away, down a cliff) - but the scenery and views of Los Gigantes from the hotel are amazing. There are nice walks around the hotel grounds. Lots of hills if you're less mobile. The gym was good, the pools were nice, but chilly. The food service was very good. The waiters were friendly and efficient and there were plenty of cava choices. You were greeted at the entrance when you came into the restaurant and seated. Food choice and quality was good. My wife loved the breakfast choices and the hours were good. Lots of sunbeds, including some Balinese beds. The spa was nice too - overall a solid 4* hotel. Not much around in the area - or in Tenerife in general to be honest - but for a March stay in the sun, it was good.

    “Nice holiday”

    This was our first stay in Tenerife and we enjoyed the stay. The hotel Was lovely the staff were polite and happy 😊. Remember that when people were happy ! Anyway I would recommend the hotel. I am sure any normal person would enjoy their stay there . In Arnies words ' Il be back ! . Soon I hope .

    “Lovely holiday”

    Just back from a 7 night stay at this hotel. We had a lovely time from start to finish. The room was spacious and comfortable, the bed's were amazing. The choice of food is plentiful we found something to eat at every meal. We went all inclusive and we would certainly go again. Ive never seen so many sun beds there are plenty to choose from. We stayed in room 249 the views were amazing. The air con didn't work. I did report it 3 times but they never came. Apart from that we had a great time and would stay here again. We never saw the entertainment so cannot comment on this. Overall a lovely sunny hotel in a perfect spot. Well done everyone we'll be back.

    “A Brilliant Holiday”

    We stayed at this hotel from the 7th to 17th February, due to some of the comments on trip advisor we were a bit anxious when we were travelling to this hotel, This was totally unfounded. What a brilliant hotel set it a fabulous location on the sea front and near to shops restaurants and bars. The reception staff were very friendly and efficient and we were quickly dealt with and allocated a great room with direct views of the Atlantic, the room was immaculate and comfortable, it did need updating but this did not affect our holiday in any way. The hotel was full during our stay but as it is a fairly large hotel with plenty of sun loungers and big pools it never seemed crowded. There is a good gym with a good range of equipment which is free to use and a great spa that is chargeable but well worth the money. Considering the number of guests the food in the buffet restaurant is amazing plenty of choice, always hot and varied and quickly refilled when running low. we loved the food and the staff are a asset to this hotel they are so friendly helpful and work so hard clearing tables and resetting them quickly for the next guests. The restaurant manager is extremely good and runs this area and his staff fantastic. We cannot praise this hotel enough and will definitely recommend this hotel to friends and family and cannot wait to return. Thank you Barcelo for making our holiday in Tenerife a wonderful vacation.
