    “:( Where to begin?”

    We are on a pilgrimage with 20 other seasoned travelers, all dismayed at this hotel which is located... where? Upon arrival we were assaulted with the smell of sewage. This hotel is in serious need of update and repairs. Rooms are very old and small! Air conditioning is not on. Management provided us all with fans but outlets are limited so we had to unplug the light to have air and DH cut his foot on the fan. Closets are locked, so we have no space for luggage. We are afraid to touch the faucets in tub for fear of contracting tetanus. The grout in the tub and floor has pink mold. The towels are dingy. The toilet is stained and damaged. Next door, they turned water on in sink and more water flowed out onto the floor than came from the faucet! The Supper buffet was ok but if you want wine or beer, you need euros because they don’t take credit cards and you can’t charge to room. The staff in the dining room were warm and welcoming, which is nice because they are warmer than the food. If I were on my own, I would leave this hotel but since we are with a group and are prepaid, I fear we are stuck here for three nights. I post this to warn you, this is not a place to bring your group.

We apologise for any smells that emanated from the pipes and affected your stay. These smells are not a regular occurrence and tend to be caused by external factors that sometimes affect the hotel and nearby buildings during certain months, which is why the Maintenance Department checks the pipes periodically. About the size of the room, we encourage you for a future holiday planning to visit our website where you will find a thorough description of our hotels' rooms and facilities to make sure you book the one that best meets your holiday needs and wishes. We are sorry for issues you describe about the room because we submit the rooms to a periodic review that permits us to make necessary improvements. Like this we are sure that everything is perfect and comfortable in the room. Certainly the room that was destined for you, it was one of those close to maintenance and we apologize for the lightness committed at the time of assignment. We will do our best to ensure that it does not happen again. It seems, however, that we were not informed of this imperfection by voice during your stay because otherwise we would have offered you an alternative room. About the wardrobe, all the wardrobe in the rooms are open. In some rooms there are locked kitchens. In reference to the Air condition in the room, we would like to explain that we had a drop in temperatures so most guests asked us to turn off the air conditioning in the rooms. We have therefore shut down the plants with the entry of the autumn since our system is centralized. For this reason we provided fan for your group. Regarding the restaurant, we accept credit card and cash. We are sorry for any misunderstood incurred during the service regarding the payment. We inform that it is possible to charge all the extras to the room account, only if guest give us a credit card as guarantee during the check-in. Concerning the food temperature, we would like to highlight that all trays of our buffets are being constantly checked by our kitchen staff to ensure that the temperature of the food is adequate and that all options are being replenished throughout all services, nevertheless please rest assured that your comments will be shared with the team so as to avoid receiving this kind of feedback in the future. We also appreciate your kind words for our staff at the restaurant, their kindness and helpfulness being undoubtedly one of our hotel's main assets we will definitely congratulate them all on your behalf for their contribution to your wellbeing whilst staying among us.     “Nice hotel located in a beautiful area.”

    My wife and I had stayed at the Aran Park on each trip to Rome. The buffet breakfast is very good. If you want a custom omelette they will be more than glad to make it for you. The room was very spacious and had a double door entry into the bedroom from the living room area. The air conditioning worked great. The internet was the BEST because I was able to make telephone calls with Magic Jack and watch my TV from Philadelphia. We drove all over Italy and the internet worked better than in any other hotel. The manager even let us leave some bags so we did not have to pay for extra suitcases going to Greece and Turkey. When we got back to Rome for eight more days they but the bags in our pre-assigned room. You cannot beat that for service. The employees were really helpful with many suggestions The hotel offers you a shuttle service to the center of Rome. If you make a left out of the parking lot. You can take 721 or the 762 bus to the train station for 1.5 euros and be in town. We always try and stay at a Barcelo property

    “Very dissatisfied”

    We are currently staying at the Occidental Aran Park in Rome with 18 other friends on a Pilgrimage. Every single visitor in our group has several complaints about their room. The complains include broken light bulbs. Dirty, gray, towels. No air conditioning. Dirty bathrooms. Broken sinks that leak. One friend tried to take a shower and the handle for the water fell off in his hand. The rooms are small. The door to the rooms stick and are difficult to open and close. The elevators are dirty. The smell of a sewage hits you outside the hotel doors. We are seasoned travelers who often travel together, world wide. So we understand there are different levels of qualities in different countries. Rome is a major city and a hotel should have higher standards for travelers.

    “Excellent choice ”

    This hotel is gorgeous: the rooms are comfy and restful. Sheets are great. The food is really good. Breakfast is the best. Really variable and the dinner we had was really tasty and worth the money. This is a really good choice in Rome. It is a bit far from the attractions but public transportation is always a choice. They do offer transportation to the hotel to the center of the city. Exceptional.

    If your looking for a quite location with good transfers to Rome centre then is a good choice. The staff are very friendly and always looking to help you If you choose to use there transfers then make sure your there early as there’s a maximum of 8 people allowed on it and you could be force to get a taxi instead at a cost of €30
