    “worse than the last visit”

last time here was may 2017, has not improved one iota since, food still sub standard staff as unhelpful as they were before, and Christina who answers these comments still spouting the same awful English excuses.

Been to las piramides before about 12 years ago and in that time it has not changed one bit . It is in need of a good revamp and we will not return until this happens The food needs to be improved and the overall look.

    “Excellent choice”

Stayed in the hotel for five days with my friend and two children aged 10 & 11. We had booked two delux rooms and were really pleased with them. The decor was modern and the beds super comfortable. Tv had a couple of news channels and kids tv. Used the free wifi in the rooms. We had a few household issues to start with but they were speedily rectified with a polite attitude. Special thank you to Juan at the Reception who gave as excellent customer service. I really liked the look of the lobby and the communal areas, stylish as well as cosy. We took advantage of the happy hour;  fantastic drinks for 3- 6 euros for two. The food was excellent, especially liked the fish at dinner. Breakfast was plentiful and the breakfast room lovely; you could choose to sit inside or outdoors. The location was brilliant, lovely local shops and cafes and the beach only few minutes walk away. Enjoyed walking the seafront promenade. Only downside was that the indoor pool was not in use, that was a huge disappointment to us. Otherwise a great stay.

    “What a difference”

Having reviewed this hotel a year ago I couldn't believe the difference. Whereas last year we were in the refurbished half of the hotel this year we were like the poor relations in the other half. The up side was there were more drawers and storage space. We had a shower over the bath rather than walk in. The towels were thread bare and barely dried you. The staff on reception were very efficient and attended to our requests quickly. We reported lack of a fridge, leaking air conditioning and no bulb in one of the lights as we went to breakfast and by 10 am maintenance had it all sorted. The fridge had seen better days but we only wanted it for keeping our water cold. The food in the restaurant for the evening meal we always found to be very tasty. The breakfasts varied. Don't know how they cook fried eggs but they were mostly broken, hard or swimming in liquid of some sort. The scrambled eggs were sometimes very watery and unpalatable. Though not my choice the continental breakfasts looked ok. We heard that the hotel was closing for refurbishment by another company, not before time. Hopefully before too many more bits of masonry fall from the building. Feel sorry for the very friendly staff who will no doubt be without employment for a while.

    “Never again”

About 20 years ago this hotel was probably a 4 star but I am been merciful by saying it is more like a 2 star. Although clean enough it has definitely lost its forma glory . The main issue though is the food . Out of the four nights we were there we had to eat out the last two . We could possibly have put up with it been bland and lack of choice but firstly a lot of it was Luke warm in some cases cold ( bacon at breakfast ) secondly they either didn't replenish it or if they did as there was only one person doing this task one tray at a time so you waited that long it was ages till you obtained a full meal . The nicest thing I ate there was an orange !. Also early hrs of one mourning we awoke to an extremely loud noise we discovered it was one of the balconys around the corner and one floor up that had actually started to crumble off we informed reception who tried to pass the noice off as an explosion somewhere no one went to investigate it till hrs later . Then there was the "small " incident where for some inexplicable reason the bathroom door locked so at 4am we were both desperate to use it but had to ring for reception to come fix it . There were a couple more incidents but I think you get the general idea The staff were all hard working but not really friendly mind you if I worked somewhere like faulty towers I wouldn't have a smile on my face either . Save your money go elsewhere .
