Are you a beer enthusiast looking to explore the vibrant brewing tradition of the Slovenian capital and its surroundings? And, of course, to taste some outstanding beers? Join us on a beer tour of Ljubljana, including tastings of premium beers from different breweries in Ljubljana and its region!
Ljubljana has a long brewing tradition, as evidenced by the 3,900-year-old beer barrels found at archaeological sites in the Ljubljana Marshes just outside the city. The first brewer in Ljubljana dates back to 1592; by the end of the 18th century, the city had six breweries, and by the mid-19th century, more than fifty. Ljubljana is also home to Union, one of Slovenia’s largest and most famous breweries.
In recent years, especially smaller, boutique microbreweries have enriched the brewing tradition, delighting enthusiasts in search of new and unique beer flavours.
The tour also includes a visit to Pivovarna Tektonik, where Slovenian craft beer of the same name is brewed, concluding with a tasting at their pub. As they say, their beer tastings are always a top-notch culinary and enjoyment experience!
