Description

Explore three of the most distinctive places along the Alicante coastline in a full-day excursion that brings together nature, history and the Mediterranean Sea. During the trip you will visit the Pink Lagoon of Torrevieja, the port of Santa Pola and Tabarca Island, three locations that showcase the diversity of landscapes along the Costa Blanca.

The first stop takes place at the salt lakes of Torrevieja, home to the famous Pink Lagoon. This area forms part of the Natural Park of La Mata and Torrevieja Lagoons, a protected environment known for the distinctive colour of its waters and its ecological importance. Between February and May it is also possible to spot flamingos in the wild, one of the most iconic sights of this natural landscape.

After the visit, the route continues towards Santa Pola, one of the most active fishing ports on the Alicante coast. Before boarding the boat, there will be a short stop at the historic salt facilities known as the Tabarqueras, which reflect the maritime and salt-harvesting traditions of the town.

From the harbour you will board a comfortable catamaran that will take you to Tabarca Island. During the crossing you can enjoy views of the Mediterranean before arriving at this small and unique island settlement.

Once in Tabarca, you will take part in a guided walk through the historic centre. The island, once a refuge for pirates and later fortified in the 18th century, preserves its defensive walls, narrow streets and a charming baroque church. The surrounding waters form part of a protected Marine Reserve known for their remarkable clarity.

After the guided visit you will have free time to explore the island at your own pace, relax by the sea or enjoy local cuisine in one of the island’s restaurants.

On the way back to the mainland, you will also have some free time in Santa Pola to stroll along the harbour or the seaside promenade before returning to Alicante.

A complete excursion designed to discover some of the most representative natural and historical locations in the southern part of the Alicante province.
