Description

Discover two of the most important historical monuments in Málaga on a guided visit that combines the city’s Roman heritage with its Andalusian past.

The tour begins at the Roman Theatre, one of Málaga’s oldest archaeological remains, built in the 1st century during the Roman imperial period. At the interpretation centre you will learn about daily life in the ancient city and the importance of this theatre in the former Malaca.

The visit continues to the Alcazaba of Málaga, a palatial fortress built during the taifa period and one of the most outstanding examples of Islamic architecture in the city.

During the tour you will explore several areas of the complex, including the Patio de Armas and the Cuartos de Granada, spaces used by governors and authorities during the Nasrid period.

From the upper part of the Alcazaba you will enjoy wide views over Málaga, the port and the Mediterranean Sea.
