Stop at: Dunas de Corralejo
Declared a natural park in 1982 by the hand of its neighbor Islote de Lobos, it will not be until 1994 when these dunes receive their own recognition under the official name of Parque Natural Dunas de Corralejo. Under the extensive blanket of white sands, in turn, lies hidden the typical Canarian malpaís, a volcanic soil of ocher colors originated more than 50,000 years ago during the simultaneous eruption of the numerous volcanoes that dot the area.

The main beach of the islet of Lobos, to the north of Fuerteventura, is ideal to start the day and then continue with the route that shows this almost wild island of 4.5 square kilometers. Nor is it a bad alternative to end the excursion on foot on an islet that can only be reached by boat. Any option becomes an evident success for the enjoyment of a generally calm Atlantic –sometimes even asleep–, the almost white sand and a legendary tranquility along more than a kilometer.
