With our boat excursion, you will discover the activity of Spain’s second busiest port.
During the trip, the skipper and guide will talk to us about the fishing industry, allowing you to see firsthand the work of fishermen and shellfish gatherers who may be out at sea at the time. The Isla Cristina Fish Market supplies logistics hubs such as MercaMadrid every day.
Along the route, we will explore the fishing port of Isla Cristina, learning about its different areas, how it operates, its schedules, and more, all while witnessing the activity taking place at the time of the visit (fish landings, boats entering the harbor, etc.).
This is where the flavors enjoyed by millions of people around the world begin.
We will then continue our boat journey into the Isla Cristina marshlands, enjoying their natural surroundings — a unique landscape largely untouched by human hands — home to a wide variety of native and migratory birds (cormorants, sandpipers, ospreys, and more), as well as breathtaking sunsets.
An extraordinary adventure for the senses and the memory.
We will carry on to the mussel rafts, where we will pause to taste our authentic white prawns, served individually and accompanied by wine from the Condado de Huelva (Bollullos).
We will pass by the fishermen’s neighborhood of Punta del Moral and Isla Canela, reach the mouth of the Carreras estuary, and then return to the starting point.
