What the experience includes
Enjoy a one-day guided tour of Lanzarote which includes entrance to the Timanfaya National Park and Jameos del Agua.
The tour begins in Lanzote’s famous Montañas de Fuego (Mountains of Fire) where you can enjoy the incredible views on show all the way to El Golfo, also known as Lago Verde (the Green Lake), which is absolutely unmissable. We will then take in the largest salt flats in the Canary Islands, Las Salinas de Janubio.
We will then head to the south of Lanzarote and the Timanfaya National Park, which is the most visited place on the island. Here we will be able to see geothermal energy in action on the small island of Hilario, where you can feel the heat coming up from the ground. After this, we will follow the famous Volcano Route inside the national park and you will have the option of participating in a camel ride around Timanfaya.
We will take a short brunch break (food not included in the price) in Mancha Blanca, beside the famous church of Los Dolores, patron saint of the island, or in the nearby village of Yaiza.
Between Timanfaya National Park and Jameos del Agua, we will find La Geria, a place that is notable for being covered in vineyards and semi-circular walls created by the flow of lava. La Geria is where you will find most of the best-known wine bodegas in Lanzarote, many of which are recognised as some of the best in the Canary Islands and even Spain. Of course we will make a stop to taste some of this famed local wine.
While we are in the north of the island, we will stop to take in the Valley of the Thousand Palm Trees (Valle de las Mil Palmeras) and Haria village. The next stop after this will be in Jameos del Agua, another unmissable experience for anyone visiting Lanzarote. We will visit the natural caves that you can find on this side of the island and an enormous hole that was created by countless geological transformations over the years and later transformed by the local artist Cesar Manrique, which will be the grand finale of our excursion into Lanzarote.
An excursion full of contrasts, caves and volcanoes!
