What the experience includes
A complete excursion ideal for getting to know the island.
The tour will take us first of all to the beautiful bay of EL GOLFO, where the famous Olivina stone is located. We will observe the steep
We will head towards the Lanzarote Timanfaya National Park, where the Fire Mountains are located. Here we will observe the geothermal experiments, which demonstrate the immense power of heat just below the surface. We will have time to visit the natural oven where food is cooked with the heat given off by Mother Nature. Afterwards, we will make the famous Volcanoes Route inside the national park and we will have the option to take a camel ride in Timanfaya (optional).
We will enjoy lunch (not included in the price) in a typical Canarian village before travelling to La Geria, home of the most unusual vineyards in the world. You will learn about the history and process of winemaking and have the opportunity to taste it. Once in the centre of the island, we will stop at the Monument to the Peasant, before heading north through Teguise, the former capital of Lanzarote, before arriving near the highest peak of the island, the Peñas del Chache (671 m). From this viewpoint, you will be able to photograph the northeast coast and Haría, home of the Valley of the Thousand Palm Trees.
To end the day, a magnificent visit to Los Jameos del Agua, one of the great creations of the local artist César Manrique, where the spectacular underground gardens, the auditorium and the Volcanic Museum, dedicated to the study of volcanology, stand out.
We will be back at the hotels around 18:30 hrs.
