Valporquero Cave from León

Description

Depart León via the Torío River Valley. Along the way, we'll make a brief stop at the impressive Vegacervera Gorges to admire their rock walls, which are over 100 meters high.

We continue the ascent to the Valporquero Caves. Located at an altitude of 1,300 meters, the caves boast an interior temperature of 7°C (appropriate clothing and footwear are recommended).

You can choose from two different options:

- LONG TOUR: The tour is guided and lasts an hour and a half. During the tour, you'll admire its seven chambers (Gran Rotonda, Gran Vía, Sala de las Maravillas, etc.) with their stalactites and stalagmites. After the tour, we'll return to León.

- UNUSUAL TOUR: This tour is designed for visitors with a greater interest in the underground world. The tour lasts approximately two and a half hours. The first part is in the dark, allowing visitors to use headlamps for walking. The second part is illuminated using the usual lighting for the path and rooms, passing through new areas that were previously closed to visitors. The minimum age requirement is 12 years. We recommend purchasing your tour in advance, as tours are conducted in small groups.
