Riaño Tour with Boat Ride through the Leonese Fjords

Description

The surroundings of Riaño reveal one of the most unexpected landscapes in inland Spain, where water and mountains come together to create scenery reminiscent of northern Europe.

Departing from León, you will reach this destination at the gateway to the Picos de Europa, where the visit begins with an introduction to the local identity at the ethnographic museum.

The highlight of the experience is the boat ride through the so-called Leonese Fjords. From the water, the perspective changes completely: mountains are reflected in the reservoir, and the quiet surroundings allow you to take in nature from a different point of view.

During the journey, you will also discover that beneath the surface lie former villages, adding a deeper layer of meaning to the landscape around you.

Afterwards, you will have free time to explore Riaño at your own pace before returning to León.
