Description

We will pick you up by coach, together with our guide, at the selected time and meeting point to begin the excursion to Marbella and Mijas from Málaga. During the journey, you will be amazed by the stunning panoramic views of the Costa del Sol as we head towards our destination. Along the way, our guide will accompany you, sharing interesting facts, fascinating stories, and unique insights about the places we will visit.

Marbella: A stroll along the Golden Mile and its Old Town

We begin with panoramic views of the Golden Mile on our way to Marbella. You will have 1 hour and 45 minutes of free time to explore the city at your own pace. Walk along Avenida del Mar, which connects Alameda Park with the seafront promenade, and admire the bronze sculptures designed by Salvador Dalí, creating the feel of an open-air museum. Visit the famous Plaza de los Naranjos and Marbella’s beautifully preserved Old Town, as well as Calle Ancha, the ancient city walls, and the Church of Santa María de la Encarnación.

Puerto Banús: Luxury on the Costa del Sol

The excursion then continues to Puerto Banús, a prestigious marina and one of the most visited luxury destinations on the Costa del Sol—an iconic hotspot for Marbella’s jet set. You will have 45 minutes of free time to explore at your leisure, taking in the luxury yachts, high-end cars, and exclusive restaurants. Visit the Walk of Fame on Avenida José Banús, stroll through Plaza Antonio Banderas and Avenida Julio Iglesias, and enjoy the seafront promenade of Puerto Banús.

Mijas Pueblo: A picturesque Andalusian white village

The day concludes with a visit to one of Andalusia’s most famous white villages: Mijas. With its narrow streets and whitewashed houses adorned with colorful flower pots, this charming village sits on the hills of the Sierra de Mijas and is well known for its traditional donkey taxis, a historic symbol of the town.

In Mijas Pueblo, you will spend approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. The visit includes entry to the CAC Mijas Museum (Center for Contemporary Art and Culture), where you can admire collections by Dalí and Picasso, including one of the largest collections of Picasso ceramics in Europe. During your visit, you will also enjoy a small tasting of Málaga’s sweet Moscatel wine.

Afterwards, you will have free time to have lunch in Mijas or continue exploring. Highlights include the famous bronze donkey statue near the tourist office, the Hermitage of the Virgen de la Peña, the Compás viewpoint, and the Mijas bullring—one of the most unique in Spain due to its unusual oval shape and one of the smallest in the world. You can also stroll along the Mijas fortress with its walls and gardens offering breathtaking viewpoints, visit the Church of the Immaculate Conception, explore its many hermitages, or wander through some of the most beautiful streets and squares, such as the photogenic Calle San Sebastián near Plaza de la Libertad and the lively Plaza de la Constitución.

At the time indicated by your guide, around 4:00 p.m., the group will meet again at the Mijas Pueblo bus parking area to begin the return journey to Málaga. Upon arrival, you will be dropped off at the original pick-up points where the excursion began.
