We will pick you up by coach, together with our guide, at the selected time and meeting point to begin the excursion to Nerja and Frigiliana from Málaga and the Costa del Sol. After leaving Málaga and the Costa del Sol behind, we will follow a scenic coastal route along the Mediterranean, heading into the heart of the Axarquía region—the eastern part of Málaga province.
Our first stop is Frigiliana, considered one of the most beautiful villages in Málaga. Here, traditional Andalusian architecture truly comes to life, with cobbled streets and whitewashed houses forming the Moorish old quarter of this charming white village. You will have approximately 2 hours of free time to wander through its narrow streets, such as Calle Hernando el Darra and Callejón del Garral, admiring the colorful flowers on balconies and the blue details decorating the white façades.
Take in the stunning viewpoints offering panoramic views of the valley and the sparkling Mediterranean Sea, and capture unforgettable photos. You can also explore the local craft market in Plaza de las Tres Culturas—named after the historical coexistence of Jewish, Muslim, and Christian communities—where you may pick up local delicacies such as sugarcane honey or sweet Axarquía wine. During our visit, you will also enjoy a tasting of local products in one of Frigiliana’s charming establishments.
Just 7 km from Frigiliana lies our next stop: Nerja, a coastal town in Málaga. You will have around 3 hours to explore Nerja, well known as the filming location of the iconic Spanish TV series Verano Azul from the 1980s. Fans will recognize the famous boat “La Dorada,” which you can see replicated in Verano Azul Park.
One of the must-see spots in Nerja is its old town, leading to the impressive Balcón de Europa—a clifftop viewpoint overlooking the sea, offering breathtaking views that stretch as far as the eye can see, as well as the renowned Burriana Beach, awarded Blue Flag status.
Lose yourself in the streets of Nerja, where you will have time to enjoy authentic Andalusian cuisine. From fresh fish dishes to traditional tapas, the local food is a true delight and a perfect way to experience the region’s unique flavors.
At the time indicated by your guide, we will meet again to begin the return journey, dropping you off at the same location where the excursion began.
