Description

We will pick you up from your selected meeting point to begin our excursion to Ronda and Setenil de las Bodegas from Málaga and the Costa del Sol—perfect for those who want to explore two of the most beautiful villages in Andalusia. Along the way, you’ll enjoy panoramic views and stunning countryside landscapes as we pass through the white villages of Ardales and Cuevas del Becerro. Located just under 10 km from the Caminito del Rey, we will head towards our first destination: Setenil de las Bodegas, in Cádiz, approximately 95 km from Málaga, with an estimated travel time of 1 hour and 30 minutes.

We will begin with a guided tour led by an official guide, lasting around an hour and a half, to explore the dreamlike city of Ronda in depth. The tour includes a walk through Alameda del Tajo, home to Ronda’s famous viewpoint, popularly known as “the balcony of the coño.” We will stroll around the impressive Plaza de Toros de la Maestranza and along Paseo de Blas Infante. We will then cross the Puente Nuevo, stopping by the “Andalucía Romántica” mural, before entering Ronda’s historic old town.

We will admire historic palatial buildings now converted into museums, such as Mondragón Palace, and visit the interior of Casa Museo Don Bosco, an early 20th-century modernist mansion whose garden offers one of the best views in Ronda. Here, you will taste a typical local sweet: yemas del Tajo. From its terrace, with exclusive views of the bridge, you will capture one of the most spectacular images of Ronda—the Puente Nuevo framing the dramatic El Tajo gorge over the Guadalevín River.

We will continue to Plaza Duquesa de Parcent, surrounded by some of the city’s most emblematic buildings, including the Town Hall, the Convent of the Clarisas, the Convent of La Caridad, and the Church of Santa María la Mayor. From there, we will return to Plaza de España, where you will have approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes of free time to enjoy the local cuisine or continue exploring Ronda at your own pace. You may visit highlights such as the Puente Nuevo viewpoint, the ancient city walls, the Arab baths—among the best preserved in Europe—or the Casa del Rey Moro, an 18th-century palace.

Afterwards, make your way back to the bus station via Calle Jerez, completing a route that allows you to experience the essence of Ronda in just half a day. At the time indicated by your guide, around 4:00 p.m., the group will meet again at Ronda’s bus station and board the coach for the return journey to Málaga. Upon arrival, we will drop you off at the original pick-up points where the excursion began.
