    “large rooms with spacious bathrooms”

    On arrival at the Manzanillo airport we received our room key card and welcome package. This was a first for us. We were checked in before boarding the transfer bus to the resort! The bus ride was not very long and it was great to just walk into the lobby and proceed directly to our room. Room - large with a king bed, couch, 2 arm chairs and a table with 4 chairs. The mini bar contained drinks and snacks. A safe, which we always use and feel is a necessity, was up high on the closet shelf so we moved it to the counter near the coffee maker. Loved having coffee in the room! The balcony was roomy and had a table and chairs. The best part of this great room was the spacious bathroom. It was the biggest we have ever had at an all inclusive resort. 2 sinks, soaker tub and a large stall shower. Service - The cleaning staff do a very good job. The wait staff in the restaurants were all polite and gave good service, some were outstanding. Tfhe food and drinks were very good and we appreciated service to the beach chairs. Shows - entertaining, showcasing some amazing dancers Amenities and location - There are multiple pools to try. We enjoyed the beach and water. The quiet cove gave great opportunities to snorkel or just watch fish from above. We kayaked in and out of the cove. Best - So much is great about this resort. the beautiful grounds and pool area The Mayan decor in the lobby is amazing.

    “Quaint resort”

    Smaller resort but still had everything you need for a good vacation. Clean, spacious, air conditioned rooms with decent sized balcony. There was also a stocked mini fridge, coffee maker, hair dryer & free safe. Beach was small but in a cove so very small waves. Several pools varying in depth cascading down from hotel to the beach providing sounds of waterfalls. Attentive service at both the pool and restaurants. Food at the buffet was OK with limited choices and not always hot but there is a grill where you can have eggs cooked to your liking at breakfast as well as other options at lunch and supper. However the a la cartes were excellent both in terms of presentation and taste. The evening entertainment was not to our liking - theme nearly every night was singing and dancing with not as much in English as I would expect (with the number of Canadians there). There is a gym and spa in the hotel and both looked nice. We liked the location (just over 30 minutes from ZLO airport) and felt very safe outside the resort when we checked out the local shops.

    “Weekend Getaway ”

    The first person we saw when we entered Barcelono was Ivan at check-in. He was amazing and super pleasant and great customer service. Arodi - was out host the first night we went to the Japanese restaurant which was extraordinary. Our server Pedro was 5 star!! He was super sweet and was always very attentive. Fernando - lobby bar bartender extremely hard working and nice. I think he was one of the fastest bartenders I've seen. Or he just really enjoys his job. Our housekeeper from room 2223 on 18th &19th was so clean. She was really attentive to every detail when found our clothes fold and everything in the room organized on perfection.

    Tolles Familienhotel mit 'All inclusive' Leistungen. Die Garten- und Poolanlage ist einzigartig und TOP gepflegt. Die Standardzimmer - alles Junior Suiten- sind hervorragend ausgestattet. Das Angebot der Restaurants ist sehr abwechslungsreich ( hervorheben möchte ich hier das 'Kyoto' ein fantastischer Japaner und den Mexikaner - beide sehr lecker!)

    “Bringen Sie Ihr eigenes Essen und Getränke sowie Sahne für den KAFFEE mit”

    März 2008 Britische und amerikanische Mitglieder bei Tripadvisor KEINE QUALITÄT Unsere erste „Alles Inklusive“-Reise, für die wir uns nur entschieden hatten, weil es ein Direktflug von Edmonton, AB, Kanada, nach Manzanillo und eine Last-Minute-Reise (wir sind neu in Kanada und hatten nicht viel Zeit zu planen) war. Essen und Getränke sind miserabel – es war NICHT möglich, eine Tasse anständigen Kaffees zu bekommen. Glücklicherweise konnte man in 20 Minuten zu einem neuen Wal-Mart (komplett mit bewaffnetem Wachmann mit einem Gewehr Kaliber 12 statt der üblichen Empfangsperson) laufen, wo es ein tolles Café gab. Wenn Sie ALLERDINGS Sahne in Ihrem Kaffee haben möchten, BRINGEN Sie Ihre eigene mit –NIRGENDWO gibt es frische Sahne ... nicht einmal im Hotel. Die Cocktails wurden mit billigen Mixern zubereitet und es gab nicht einmal Corona. Ich war gespannt auf den riesigen Flohmarkt am Samstag, wo ich Ausschau nach Silberschmuck halten wollte. An jedem Stand gab es aber den gleichen Silberschmuck und er wurde nach Gewicht verkauft und alle Verkäufer hatten so etwa den gleichen Preis – kein gutes Silber (Ware, wie sie in US-Kaufhäusern angeboten wird). Wir machten die Sonnenuntergang-Bootsfahrt mit, die IN ORDNUNG war - der Führer, ein junger Mann, machte dauernd Witze und bat um Trinkgeld - das ging so die ganzen zwei Stunden lang und die Fahrt kostete rund 80$ für zwei Personen. NIEMAND ging zum Strand außerhalb des Hotelgeländes, nicht mal zum Sonnenbaden – die meisten Gäste saßen den ganzen Tag am Pool. Unser Zimmer wäre perfekt gewesen, wenn das Badezimmer besser gepflegt worden wäre, schlechter Zustand - Schimmel um die Dusche – man hätte es wirklich gründlich reinigen müssen. Ansonsten war das Zimmer in Ordnung und bot einen tollen Blick aufs Meer. Das Personal ist nett, aber sehr träge, und jeder hält die Hand auf, um für seine Arbeit ein Trinkgeld zu bekommen. Das ging einem schnell auf die Nerven. Wir baten das Hauspersonal immer wieder um Bademäntel in unseren Größen und als die Managerin kam, musste ich ihr neben dem Zimmermädchen ebenfalls Trinkgeld geben, nur damit sie das tat, was sie eigentlich im Rahmen ihrer normalen Tätigkeit tun müsste. Das Hotel hat Potenzial, aber bei der Einstellung der Einheimischen und der Kundschaft wird wohl nichts daraus. Wir werden NICHT wieder dort absteigen.
