    “Holy Moly where's the Guacamole”

Our recent 5 night stay at the Barcelo was great. The food was great, service was great and we would return. The room was nice and the fridge was always stocked. The bathroom had a beautiful shower with hot water and good pressure. The bathroom has a wooden door that fully closed, unlike some resorts where you have to clear the room to do your business. The beach was beautiful but unswimmable. If you want to swim in the ocean you have to pick a resort closer to Cabo San Lucas. Internet is 12$ US per day and it didn't work in our room very well but worked well outside. There are lots of places to explore within walking distance of the resort don't be scared to venture off for a walk. The old part of San Jose del Cabo is full of art galleries, different stores and quaint restaurants. Everyone found the swim-up bar cold. The hot tubs were nice and warm and we were able to have our drinks delivered there. Food....Crepes were fantastic in the morning and the buffets were satisfying. On the sushi night at the buffet they had a beautiful display of many different kinds but not one vegetarian option. I didn't think this was a strange request. The chef made me a vegetarian roll but apparently I was the first one to ever make this request. Usually my lunch at an all inclusive in Mexico consists for Chip, Salsa, Mole and Guacamole. We only had Guacamole one day at the buffet and the chips were no the usual authentic chips. They were the Old El Paso ones you get in the store. They did have good chips in the Mexican restaurant but again they didn't have guacamole there. Greatest idea ever, the room key is on you bracelet, loved that. We visit Mexico at least once a year and I would visit the barcelo if the price was right. I would however prefer to swim in the ocean and eat guac everyday!!

    “Cabo trip - November 2018”

We loved our trip to Cabo and our stay at the Barcelo. I highly recommend this as a couples get away whether you just want some time at the beach or pool to relax or if you want to go on excursions as we did (ATV, electric bike and snorkeling g at Cano Pulmo). The rooms are clean and spacious with views of the ocean, the food is great and the service excellent. It’s an amazing break from winter weather in Canada.

    “Nice Stay”

I really enjoyed the infinity pool and other pool areas, but was a little dissapointed that we could not swim in the ocean around this area. I enjoyed the nightly activities- especially the live bands and dancing. They brought us a bottle of champagne and chocolates to celebrate my birthday, which was a very nice touch. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and had a great time horse back riding on the beach. We also took a sunset boat cruise through our Amstar rep. down in Cabo San Lucas that was absolutely beautiful. The staff were attentive. Food was just okay- we didn't realize that men needed to wear long pants and this limited our food options. I was also surprised that the hotel only offered paid internet service and not free wifi.

    “Worst Mexican trip ever”

Let’s just start with we are still here. We have been to Mexico nearly 20 times. By far the worst service and food to date. The food all cold. The service there is none. We arrive my husband has a shower. No towels we wait 45 min to get after numerous requests. This resort is more self serve than all inclusive and we paid for the upgrade we will never stay at any barcelo ever again Mexico wide

    “Over all very good”

We enjoyed our stay here other than the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable. The other disappointment was the infinity pool was closed the duration of our stay. The food was pretty good. I recommend the Premium package. Very friendly accommodating staff
