    “A little bit of paradise”

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly and efficient. Food and drinks were amazing- I gained 8 pounds! We cannot wait to return. This was our first experience with an all inclusive trip and it exceeded expectations!

    “Barcelo Maya Hotel Mexico”

Very well equipped hotel and all the staff very friendly with the exception of reception who were not helpful if there was a problem. Would recommend Colonial or Tropical end of the complex Beach and Maya secrions appeared much noiser and had nearby building works as well as a loud beach festival during March. Would also go for a 1st or 2nd floor room our original ground floor room was damp. All in all though a really good hotel, good food, great pools and a nice beach.

    “Amazing Vacation!”

This place was AMAZING! We went with our family and two other families, a total of 13 people, including 7 kids between the ages of 5 and 17. The most important part of a tropical vacation is the beach -- and this place did not disappoint! With all five of the resorts, I believe the beach is over a mile long. I walked it everyday, and it was so beautiful. The beach in front of our resort at Maya Beach was the best -- perfect sand, no rocks, beautiful Caribbean blue. The ocean varied from gentle waves to bigger waves, perfect for kids to swim and snorkel. The ocean in front of Maya Palace was perfect for snorkeling with sea turtles. (It's best to bring your own snorkeling gear as well as water shoes.) The area by the pier is rocky -- we spent hours walking the rocks in our water shoes, finding hermit crabs, shells, and little fish. I loved how close our rooms were to the pool, and how close the pools are to the beach. All day long, our group went back and forth between the beach and pool. The service is excellent -- everyone is friendly and professional. Alberto Lopez and Omar Medina at the Buffet Beach were especially wonderful -- they remembered us everyday and were very attentive. I really liked the a la carte restaurants. The seafood at Marenostrum was excellent, especially the grilled lobster -- not just for an all-inclusive but in general. Tokyo was also awesome. I loved the nightly entertainment, especially the night of Mexican dancing. I really liked that the pools and beach were not overcrowded -- and that of the pools, some were more quiet and some were more of party spots. We tried and liked lots of activities -- swim with the dolphins at the resort, professional pictures at the resort, sea fishing. I liked the mall area, which included a lot of shops. There are a few things where there is a little room for improvement: The rooms (furniture) need to be updated a little bit (but they were clean and comfortable), the food at the lunch buffets and snack bar could be better and include some more authentic Mexican food, I wish the ice cream machine was outside at the pool bar instead of in the snack bar, and on the last day there was a huge concert that included guests that were mainly young adults, which changed the whole vibe of the resort. Overall, this place was awesome. This was my third time visiting the Mayan Riviera, and this is the first place where I'd go back. Amazing place!!!

    “Fantastic March Break destination.”

This is a gem of a property, very clean, excellent food (Buffets are better quality than their various A La Carte restaurants on site), premium spirits and free flowing beer, extremely friendly and helpful staff (thank you Luz Mar for your hospitality and getting us an upgrade), tons of on-site activities and close to Xcaret and Tulum too! Free on-site parking in case you drive (as we did) from Cancun airport. We were a family of four (two kids under 10) and had a really good time. Will definitely visit again.
